AUTHOR'S POV
In the quiet tension that followed Sirene's panicked pleas, YN made a difficult decision. Despite Sirene's protests, she walked up the stairs to the terrace, her steps hesitant but determined.
She needed to see for herself whether what Sirene had witnessed was real or just a terrible hallucination brought on by fear.
As she reached the terrace, her eyes scanned the area, but there was nothing. No blood, no bodies, no trace of the chaos Sirene had described.
It was eerily calm, almost as if the violent scene Sirene had witnessed had never existed.
YN returned to Sirene, who was anxiously waiting for her, hope and dread mingling in her tear-filled eyes.
Gently, YN placed a hand on her shoulder, her voice soft. "There's no one on the terrace. No dead bodies, nothing."
Sirene's expression shifted instantly, the hope vanishing and being replaced by heartbreak. Her tearful eyes met YN's, disbelief etched across her face.
"You don't believe me, right?" she choked out between sobs, her voice trembling with the weight of being misunderstood. YN felt her heart clench at the sight.
She had never seen Sirene so broken, so terrified. Whatever she had witnessed wasn't just a figment of her imagination-it had truly shaken her to the core.
And in that moment, YN realized that it didn't matter what she saw or didn't see. She trusted Sirene, and the fear in her eyes was enough proof.
Sirene wasn't hallucinating; she had experienced something horrific, something real.
YN's heart began to pound as the reality of what they had stumbled into hit her. If Jungkook was truly capable of such violence, if he was really the monster Sirene had seen, then they were in deep trouble.
Tears streamed down Sirene's face as she grabbed YN's hands.
"I don't want to marry him, YN, please!" Sirene's voice was filled with desperation, and YN could see the weight of that decision crushing her.
YN swallowed the lump in her throat, pulling Sirene into a tight embrace, trying to calm her.
"It's okay... it's okay. We'll think of a solution, I promise. I'm with you, always." Her voice was steady, but inside, she was grappling with her own panic, her mind racing to find a way out of this nightmare.
She knew they had to be smart about this. Jungkook was dangerous, and if they made the wrong move, they could both be in serious danger.
