I should do that

"Though I hate her to bits, I would never go to such extreme measures against her," Ayaka declared, folding her arms and glaring at the police officer. The officer sighed , "Now, I have nothing else to tell you so, May I? The officer nodded in acknowledgment. With that, Ayaka slipped out of the officer's line of questioning and walked back to her class.

The investigation was still underway, and the police had come to your school after Kaji reported the bullying you faced. Thanks to his bravery, the harassment had finally stopped. However, as it was revealed that Michi had an accomplice, they immediately pointed fingers at Ayaka. That was why they were on campus—to question her.

Despite their efforts, they couldn’t extract any incriminating information from her. After Kaji had confronted her, Ayaka had become quiet, stopped her bullying and resuming her life as a normal student.

But aside from Ayaka, no one else seemed likely to resort to such drastic actions against you. Thus, the police concluded that the mysterious figure responsible for your ordeal might be someone Michi could trust, someone no one knew—a twisted ally in his scheme.

"Hey, Lara, isn’t your house that way?" Ayaka called out, pointing down the street. The sudden attention made Lara startle, feeling uncomfortable as Ayaka approached.

"I—I'm going to Cafe Pothos," Lara stammered, trying to brush past her.

Ayaka raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on her lips. "I see, hanging out with those gang members, huh?"

"N-no, we don’t have time to hang out! It’s just our meeting place for tracking Y/n," Lara insisted, quickening her pace as she walked ahead.

"I see," Ayaka replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "So you finally squeezed yourself into their little squad."

"It’s not like that, Ayaka!" Lara shot back defensively, glancing at her over her shoulder.

"What if…" Ayaka narrowed her eyes, her tone shifting. "What if you’re the accomplice?"

Lara halted in her tracks, taken aback by the accusation. "I would never do that!" she exclaimed, turning on her heel to walk away.

"Well, it actually makes sense, you know," Ayaka continued, trailing behind her. "I can see that you like Kaji. Maybe you’re just jealous of Y/n’s closeness with him. Is that why you wanted to get rid of her? Maybe that’s why Y/n didn’t feel threatened when someone knocked her out that time."

"Why are you following me?" Lara demanded, gripping the strap of her bag tighter as she quickened her steps.

"I’m not following you; my house is this way," Ayaka defended, scoffing. "Honestly, you’re a waste of time to follow."

"But anyway, I’m proud of you because your mission was accomplished," Ayaka said with mock sincerity.

"I told you, I have no intention of doing anything to her. Maybe it’s you who hates her," Lara countered, finally stopping to face Ayaka. "You’ve been jealous of what she used to have."

"I’ve changed. I’ve learned from my mistakes," Ayaka replied, her voice steady. "Besides, Kaji beat me up good."

"What?" Lara's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Yeah, he beat me up. Consider it a friendly reminder: he won’t show mercy to anyone who hurts Y/n, even you," Ayaka said, her gaze piercing as it roamed over Lara from head to toe.

"I'll consider your silence a thank you, see you." She added and started walking away. Lara watched her walking with something in her mind.

"Is that why you wanted to get rid of her? Maybe that’s why Y/n didn’t feel threatened when someone knocked her out that time."

" How did she knew that?"

"No one mentioned Y/n's been knocked out."

Lara started to take a step to follow Ayaka but something helds her back.
Maybe Y/n meant to disappear so that Kaji and I will be together.

During those days, Lara's been comforting Kaji. He's gloomy than he usually was and Lara's trying to help him out and eventually getting closer to him.
She never gets close to him like that. Even the furin guys start to befriend her.

It's like, Lara has become your replacement and she likes it that way.

Maybe if I pretend I haven't heard that, I will not feel guilty for not doing anything.

Yes,

Yes I should do that.
