"What is the meaning of this? Move!" Helies ordered them. Then an angry voice sounded from behind the guards.

"Where are you going with my bride?" I turned to see the shiny-haired figure of my future husband pushing through the guards, a sword in his hand. Helies quickly stepped in front of me, drawing his sword as well.

The tension in the air was palpable as the two men faced off. Helies's eyes were fierce, his protective stance unwavering, while the prince's face was twisted with rage.

"You can't have her," Helies growled, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword.

"She is mine and soon will be on my bed," the prince retorted, his voice dripping with possessive anger. "Stand down, or I'll kill you where you stand."

Helies didn't flinch. "I'd rather die than let her be with you."

Panic hit me hard, but it wasn't because I feared for my life. I was afraid of losing Helies. He was my everything, and I couldn't lose him. I reached for his shoulder, desperate to stop this before it went too far. But before I could touch him, he lunged forward and attacked the prince.

The two men began to fight, their swords clashing in the courtyard. Helies had become a skilled swordsman since we came here, but the prince was more trained than Helies. The sound of the blades filled the air as they fought, their movements lightning-fast.

Helies managed to push the prince back, but the prince quickly recovered, his sword slicing through the air towards Helies. Helies parried the blow and counterattacked, the force of his strike driving the prince back a few steps. The prince's face twisted with fury and he lunging forward with renewed ferocity. Helies blocked the attack again, but the prince's superior training began to show. He moved with a fluidity and precision that Helies struggled to match. The prince's blade found its mark, cutting a shallow wound across Helies's arm.

"Helies!" I screamed, my heart nearly stopping.

Helies gritted his teeth, the pain only fueling his resolve. "I won't let you have her," he growled, pressing the attack despite his injury.

Blood trickled down his arm, staining his sleeve. He swung his sword with all his might, aiming for the prince's chest, but the prince deftly sidestepped and delivered a brutal blow to Helies's back. The strike cut through his armor, the force of it knocking him to the ground.

Helies cried out in pain, blood seeping from the deep gash in his back. He tried to push himself up, but the prince was already standing over him, sword raised for the final strike.

"Please, please, please!" I shouted, running between them. "I marry you, right now! Let's go back to the ceremony."

The prince's eyes glinted with a mixture of triumph and cruelty. He smirked, his gaze flickering with amusement as he looked down at me. "Ah, that's how I like them—begging for me," he said, laughing and gesturing to his guards.

"Take her, so she doesn't run again!" he ordered, but before they could, Helies took advantage of the momentary distraction. With a fierce cry, he pushed me out of the way and lunged forward with all his remaining strength. His sword flashed in the sunlight as he sliced through the prince's neck, beheading him instantly. The prince's head rolled on the ground, his body crumpling beside it.

"Run!" Helies shouted, grabbing me by the arm and dragging me away from the chaos. I stumbled to keep up with him, my heart pounding in my chest.

We have just started a war.
