It was September 1st, and Astigma was dressed up and ready to go to school. He had never been to school before, but it was somewhere other than home, so he was down if it meant getting out of punishment for five days of his week. It was only Astigma for now. His little bro was already at his little kid school. "Remember, humans like to fight with words rather than fists. Especially kids. They attack anyone different, so try to gain their favor if anyone tries. No fighting if it can be helped." You helped Astigma to get his backpack on, Edge watching as per usual. He wouldn't say it, but he was scared to have his kids parted from him, even if it was only for the day. Astigma had already been gone for so long. But you had assured him that this was good for both the kids to learn social skills and human societal skills they would need to live in the human world. It was Papyrus who walked him out to the bus to wish him luck on his first day of school. Already, his bus mates were intimidated because of his super cool dad.

The issue arose at class role call. Apparently 'Astigma' wasn't just a font. Apparently, it was an eye imperfection, too, and everyone laughed when their teacher said so. Astigma didn't shrink away, though. He was his father's son, and his mom had forwarned him that these vultures would take any chance to pick a fight. "You think I care if you laugh? My dad is a Royal Guard Captain! I come from a place where Astigma is cool, and I friended every damn monster in the Underground over summer. So please, laugh at me again. We will see what the MONSTERS have to say about it." For a minute, the class went quiet. "You're a liar!" Someone pointed out. "There's no way you met all the monsters in the Underground! You don't even look like a monster!" Astigma narrowed his eyes at the boy who dared to call him a liar. He was about to retaliate, but the teach quickly got everyone's attention. It was time to start class. Astigma would have to wait to get him back until later, at recess.

It turned out that kids could get as physical as monsters when Astigma felt someone shove him from behind. "Say it again, monster boy! Say you know all the monsters!" That boy from earlier stepped on his back and he absolutely glared, trying to keep his soul from coming out to fight. Mom had told him not to, after all. "I know all the monsters! And if you don't let go, I'll show you some of the moves I used on them." Astigma warned. "Make me!" The student mocked. Astigma had no choice then. It would probably get him into Moore trouble, but he wasn't gonna be a punching bag. That was just pathetic. Astigma rolled latching onto the kid's foot and dragging it out from under him. "AhhHH-" Once he fell on his ass, Astigma got to his feet, brushing himself off. "Consider that a warning." Astigma headed to the fence, hoping a monster would pass so he could prove himself and maybe get some friends- an achievement his mom could be proud of. Not just anyone came by though. Papyrus was worried about his sons and patrolled the outer fence of both children's schools until their recess came. "Dad! Hey!!! Wanna come meet my classmates?" He inwardly smirked as the closest students gawked. He was gonna like it here.
I imagine Astigma becoming pretty popular at his school. Not like- bad stereotype popular, but more of the gets along with everyone as long as you don't fuck with him popular, you know? But yeah, that's the end of the story! Have a great day/afternoon/night!
