。・゚゚・・゚゚・。Chapter 12 。・゚゚・・゚゚・。

The summer sun kissed the town, casting warm rays over the people enjoying the beach and strolling along the docks. Boats lazily crossed the vast expanse of ocean, their hulls gliding effortlessly through the waves. The five teens sat on the deck of the HMS Pogue, their laughter and voices blending with the gentle swells of the sea. The HMS Pogue sliced through the sparkling blue sea, carrying the five teens.

JJ sat at the front of the boat, his arm draped around Frankie's waist to ensure her stability. With her head resting against his shoulder, she quietly immersed herself in a book, turning page after page while the cool ocean breeze gently tugged at her hair. Frankie had an fascination with romance novels. She found herself captivated by the connection between the characters, the tension that sizzled in every interaction. The way it was always so apparent that they were destined to be together stirred something within her. A warm, giddy sensation that left her craving more.

"I don't understand why you're so into these books," JJ said, breaking the silence.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Frankie responded, her gaze still fixed on the pages before her.

JJ paused for a moment, searching for the right words. "I mean, they seem kinda dull, like there's so many words in them." He gestured vaguely in the direction of the book in her hands.

Frankie chuckled softly as she lowered her book, shooting JJ an amused glance. "Well, it's a book, so of course it has words, genius, and it's just really interesting. " she responded, rolling her eyes jokingly.

JJ smirked, his head tilting to the side. "Okay, then, enlighten me. Why's it so interesting, princess?" he retorted, his tone laced with playful sarcasm.

Frankie met JJ's gaze, her expression softening as she closed the book, inserting the page marker to save her spot. "It's all about the love and connection between the characters," she began, her voice tinged with excitement. "You know, the moments when you can just tell they're meant to be together." She continued, a smile playing at her lips. "And the dates, the intimate moments they share. It's like you're right there with them, experiencing it all. It's... nice, you know?" She paused for a moment, her gaze lingering on JJ's amused expression.

JJ's smile widened as he leaned closer to Frankie, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I didn't know you were such a romantic, princess." Frankie raised a skeptical eyebrow, her gaze meeting his. "Oh yeah? Well, last I heard, you were still hooking up with random girls every weekend," she countered, a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"Yep. I've done some reflecting and growth these past few weeks," JJ said, his voice dripping with confidence. He paused for a moment, studying the girl before him. "And trust me, she'll be the luckiest girl in the world," he continued. Frankie eyebrow raised in mild disbelief, before returning her attention to her book.

"Do I know this 'future girl'?" she asked, eyes scanning the pages in front of her. JJ's smile widened, and his gaze softened as he turned away, "Yeah... she's sitting right here." He whispered.

The silence between the two growing, before eventually JJ let out a whistle, catching the four attention. "You guys see that?" He spoke nodding his head into the direction of a upcoming boat, Frankie lowering down her book once again to look forward.

"That's the Malibu 24-MXZ, the world's finest wakesetter. Number one in luxury, quality and performance. 200K, easy." He explained, the five catching their gaze onto the boat. On that boat was Topper and Sarah, Topper's arm wrapped around Sarah's waist their gaze staring forward not bothering to look at the five pogues.
