As I was still processing what Ahaan had just said, I heard someone calling my name. I turned around to see who it was, and my eyes widened with excitement. "Zoya!!" I exclaimed, rushing towards her. "Zoya, how could you be so late?" I teased, scolding her playfully as I wrapped her in a warm hug.

Zoya pouted, "Inaya, I'm really sorry. The flight got delayed." She explained, her eyes sparkling with apology.

Just then, Ahaan walked towards us, and Zoya's gaze landed on him. "And who is this handsome stranger?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity, as she nodded towards Ahaan.

I smiled, making the introduction. "He's Ahaan, Ayaan's cousin." Zoya's eyes lit up as she extended her hand, and Ahaan shook it firmly. "I'm Zoya, Inaya's best friend," she said, her smile radiant.

As I watched them exchange greetings, I felt a fleeting pang of jealousy, but I quickly pushed it aside, focusing on the joy

Ahaan politely excused himself, "I don't want to interrupt you guys, carry on." He smiled and walked away, leaving us to catch up.

Zoya's eyes sparkled with mischief as she turned to me. "Inayaaa...is something going on?" she asked, her voice laced with teasing curiosity. "I saw you guys dancing earlier, and you looked absolutely smitten." She grinned, her eyes glinting with amusement.

I tried to feign annoyance, but my cheeks betrayed me, flushing with embarrassment. "Noo...nothing is going on, stop it!" I protested, attempting to sound stern but failing miserably.

Zoya chuckled, undeterred. "Come on, Inaya, spill the beans. I can see the sparks flying between you two."

I shook my head, trying to deflect her attention. "I'm still mad at you, you should've come sooner," I said, attempting to sound calm, but my voice was laced with a hint of playful reprimand.

Zoya's expression turned apologetic. "Inaya, I'm really sorry. I promise to make it up to you. I'll come a week ahead of the wedding, okay?" She paused, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "And I have to tell you about this absolute bastard I met outside just now. You won't believe what he did!"

zoya's pov:

As I rushed into the venue, I tripped and fell onto a stranger. Luckily, he caught me and we didn't fall. I was in his arms, and I tried to pull away, but my hair got stuck on his shirt button."Sorry," I said, trying to untangle my hair.

"Can you hurry up?" he replied, looking annoyed as he rolled his eyes at me."I'm trying," I said, feeling defensive. "It's not my fault that my hair got tangled."The stranger sighed and pushed my hand away, yanking my hair free. I cried out in pain as he muttered a half-hearted apology."You could have been more careful," I said, getting angry. "That hurt."He snapped back, "First you fall on me, then you lecture me? I don't have time for this. Let's deal with it later."

I felt my face get hot with anger. "You're the one being rude! I'm just trying to apologize.""Apologize? You think a simple 'sorry' will fix everything after you ruined my night?" he said, scoffing. "You're not even taking responsibility for your own clumsiness."I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. "I understand that you're upset, but I'm trying to make it right. Accidents happen, and I'm not trying to cause any trouble."The stranger raised an eyebrow. "You're not trying to cause trouble? You're the one who fell on me and got your hair tangled in my shirt. You're the one who's causing a scene."

I felt a surge of frustration. "I'm not causing a scene! I'm just trying to apologize and move on. You're the one who's being unreasonable."The stranger shook his head. "Whatever. Just be more careful next time, okay?"I bit back a retort and said, "Fine. But maybe you could work on being kinder to people. It wouldn't hurt."He just shook his head and walked away, leaving me feeling both relieved and angry.
