"Holy shit, Capo," I muttered, hiding under the bed as I watched him smirk. This madman was glued to his laptop, and with the screen tilted just out of my view, I couldn't see what he was watching. But I knew. It was her-the queen. The queen of his heart. And this man was obsessed, far beyond any normal limit.

He doesn't even let her breathe without his watchful eye. Honestly, I don't know what he'll do next. He's so mad for her that I wouldn't be surprised if he'd placed cameras in her bathroom, too. Maybe he already has.

"Come outside," he said in that cold, chilling voice. I knew I had no choice but to obey, or else... he'd probably chop me up and hang me from the streetlights, just like he did with our enemies.

I stepped back inside, took a seat in front of him, and muttered, "Yes, Capo."

"What the fuck did you say?" he repeated, his voice even darker, his hazel-grey eyes shifting to a pitch black. Was this guy even human-or some kind of vampire? Either way, listening was definitely not his strong suit.

"I said... what if Abhimanyu loved her the way you do?" I muttered, feeling the fear tighten in my chest. Suddenly, a gunshot rang out from behind me, and I froze, realizing someone had just fallen dead inches away. My heart raced as I looked back, knowing he'd done it without a second thought.

"Love her the way I do?" he growled, his voice low and dangerous. "No. He never could." His gaze was sharp, darkened with something almost terrifying. "He wanted her like a prize, something to show off. But I want her like fire needs air-to take over her whole world." He leaned in, his eyes nearly black with an obsession that sent chills through me. "Her beauty catches the eye, but it's her innocence I crave. She belongs to me-not just to keep, but to be in every breath she takes."

I sat there, too afraid to move, his words sinking in like heavy stones. The room felt colder, shadows seemed to creep closer, and his eyes stayed locked on mine, daring me to challenge him.

"Do you understand now?" he whispered, his voice sharp and low. "No one else gets near her. No one else even thinks about her. She's mine, in every way-and in ways she doesn't even know yet."
