I thought she was dead.....

For years, I believed she was gone. I saw the accident, the fire, the car. I saw everything, and everyone told me she was gone. Dead.

Misha.

I had no reason to live after that. My world ended. But I was wrong.

I didn’t come to the hospital expecting to see her. But something was pulling me here.

In the parking lot, I felt strange. Like something was different. Something in the air. I couldn’t explain it.

And then, I saw her.

I stopped. I couldn’t breathe.

It was her.

No, it couldn’t be. She was dead. I watched her die. I saw the fire, the smoke. It wasn’t possible.

But there she was. Standing in front of me, just a few feet away.

I stepped forward, but my feet felt heavy. I couldn’t move. My heart was racing. My mind was confused.

I spoke her name before I even realized.

“Misha.”

She didn’t respond.

I took another step. She was still looking away, not noticing me. My heart was pounding in my chest.

“Misha, look at me.” I whispered, my voice shaky.

She slowly turned, and I froze. Her eyes met mine, but they didn’t look like hers. They were cold, empty.

I took a step back.

“I’m sorry, sir,” she said, her voice calm, but distant. “Do I know you?”

I couldn’t believe it. I felt my knees getting weak.

“No…” I whispered. “No, this can’t be real.”

“I think you’re mistaken,” she said again, without emotion. “Please, don’t follow me.”
