SmackDown 2/9/24
The New Path
"And my reality now is to let you know, I don't trust you," I said to him and the two of us stared each other down before he stood up slightly leaning toward me.
"And to be honest I think you're a ticking time bomb," he retorted.
"I hate to be the one to tell you this but that's no secret."
"We're not even close to being on the same page are we?"
"We're not even reading the same book," I assured him.
"Then how can I trust you with my family?"
"Because you know your around all the time," I sneered rolling my eyes. "I'm pretty sure they've become my family," I stated.
"Roman!" Solo spoke in a tone of concern behind us. I saw Roman out of the corner of my eye dismiss Solo's remark. I think he was curious to see how this was going to go. Frankly I wasn't sure either I just had a power nap and if I needed to go back and forth with someone right now I could.
"Ladies and gentleman this is your pilot speaking. We are now approaching our destination please return to your seats and buckle your seatbelt as we make our final descend into Charlotte," he said as all of us were still frozen in our position.
"Saved by the pilot, aren't you lucky," I remarked before turning away and walked back over to an impatient Solo standing there. Jimmy and Naomi appeared to have woken up at some point and were wide eyed at me. I sat down and buckled my seatbelt.
"See told you, nice and easy flight," I said taking Sergeant from him as we started to descend. We were exiting the plane ten minutes later, The Rock and I keeping our distance from each other. Again, I rode with the others while Roman, Paul, and The Rock rode in the lead car, they also went into the hotel first as I had to let Sergeant use the bathroom before going up.
"One on one with The Rock, you know he isn't that bad, you should try giving him a chance," Jimmy said doing his best to keep trying to bring peace between everyone and yet he couldn't do that with his own twin.
"I've watched how he operates and I'm not so sure I like how he does things. But I promise I won't judge this time around just yet. I'll wait to see exactly what his role is," I told him and he sighed putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Alright Little Uce, alright. Come on let's go in I'm tired and it's almost one in the morning." I picked Sergeant up and we joined Solo and Naomi with two security guards leading us inside.
"You think you can go one on one with my cousin, Wildfire?" Roman asked as we finally laid down to go to sleep. I was getting déjà vu from the almost identical question from Jimmy from just a short time ago.
"I don't want too Chief, but I will if I have to. I don't know what it is but I don't want him to come in and ruin The Bloodline, what you have built by him going on with his nonsense. I know he's blood but I'm sorry I don't Chief, I just don't know," I said trailing off feeling so unsure about it. Roman pulled me closer to him as we faced each other and he ran his hand down my cheek.
"To be honest I understand where you are coming from. I'm not so sure about this or his intentions. So don't be sorry, the only thing for now to do is take everything one day at a time and see where it leads us. I promise I won't take anything lightly."
