He Is Good When I Am Not by Lynn
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be goon
and do good. I would say that most of the time I have been successful, but I can't say this has always been the case.
What does the word good really mean?
Dictionary.com says good can mean "better or best."
Have aways been the best i Can be. For sure not. But there is One who is good-always. In fact, Psalm 100:5 tells us that the definition of good is God Himself. Wow! "For the LORD is good . . ." His love for us is because of His goodness. His love is better; His love is best. And most of all, His love is faithful and it never ends. It is for forever.
God's love for us goes on and on. Forever and ever and ever.
God's love has no end. It will never stop. His unfailing, loyal devotion to us, His kindness will never quit coming to us and will always be for us.
We can never do anything to cause His love to quit coming because His love is not dependent upon us. His love is formed on the foundation of His perfection and He isn't afraid of our flaws.
That takes so much pressure off me! It's not about how good I am but how good He is.
