Pallavi's POV

It’s been four months since we learned that Meher is part of our family. The truth, though shocking, brought us closer. Meher, despite her initial hesitation, embraced Arjun as her brother. I understood her emotions better than anyone else because I had walked the same path—discovering the true meaning of family and the painful truths hidden in the past.

But yesterday… yesterday brought a storm I wasn’t prepared for.

Flashback

The morning sun filtered through my cabin's window as I rummaged through my desk drawer, searching for a client file. My fingers brushed against something unfamiliar—an envelope, stark and plain, with no name or address. I hesitated, my instincts warning me, but curiosity took over.

I unfolded the envelope and pulled out a stack of documents. The first was a DNA test report. My breath hitched as I read the names: Abhram and Pallavi. My name. Mine and Abrahm bhaiyya  name.

I couldn’t process it. Why would someone send this to me? What truth were they trying to reveal?

The second set of documents fell into my hands—photographs. I stared at them, my heart pounding as recognition set in. They were of Arjun, sitting with men who clearly didn’t belong to a “normal” business environment. Their faces, their demeanor—everything screamed danger.

And then came the last document.

My fingers trembled as I held it. A contract. Our wedding contract. The very paper Arjun had signed before our marriage. My marriage to him is not good in the initial stage but now a bond I thought was built on love , and what is this all of sudden

I felt a lump in my throat, but I swallowed it down and reached for the letter tucked at the bottom of the file. The handwriting was neat, calculated, almost mocking. I read it carefully, each word sinking into my soul like a blade.
