The warm rays of the afternoon sun kissed the edges of their home, casting a golden glow over the pool area.

Cress stood by the edge, gazing at the tranquil water, lost in her thoughts.

Maven and her was out of work for days of laying low. Sinusulit ang araw na maluwag para maibuhos nila ang oras sa isa't isa.

The past few days had been a whirlwind of emotions, but with Maven by her side, she felt a renewed sense of peace.

Maven emerged from the house, her footsteps soft but deliberate. She carried two glasses of wine, her eyes softening as they landed on Cress.

Her girlfriend was been quiet from the past week - pero alam ni Maven na, silence is her girlfriend's peace kaya hinayaan muna niya ito habang ipinaparamdam na hindi siya aalis sa tabi nito.

Dressed in a loose white shirt that clung slightly to her frame and swim shorts, Maven looked effortlessly stunning, her presence as grounding as ever.

Ang hanggang balikat niyang buhok na kulay itim ay bumagay sa maamo at maganda niyang mukha.

Cress on the other hand was wearing a pair of white swimwear, her legs shining with water. Ang mahaba niyang buhok ay malayang umaayon sa lamyos ng ihip ng hangin.

"Penny of your thoughts? Maybe this can help?" Maven said, offering one of the glasses as she approached.

Cress turned, her lips curling into a small smile. "Wine talaga?" Pabiro niyang saad ng lingunin ito "Thank you, Architect" She teased.

"Low ang alcohol tolerance mo- baka kapag pinainom kita ng whiskey, tulugan mo ako" Maven pried, jokingly as she made her way to her girlfriend.

They sat together on the edge of the pool, their feet submerged in the cool water. The soft hum of nature surrounded them, filling the spaces between their quiet breaths. Maven broke the silence, her voice low and sincere.

"You've been quiet all day, Mahal. What's on your mind?" She side eyed her, sipping on the glass.

Cress took a sip of her wine too, the cool liquid soothing her. "I'm just thinking about us. How far we've come. Alam mo yun? Like how much stronger we are now-"

She glanced at Maven, her eyes filled with a mix of love and gratitude. "I don't take any of this for granted-especially not you."

Maven placed her glass on the ground and turned to face Cress fully. "You don't know how much that means to me, Cress. After everything, I've realized that you're not just my love-you're my purpose, my peace."

The vulnerability in Maven's voice brought tears to Cress's eyes. She leaned closer, resting her forehead against Maven's. "Kinikilig ako Mahal. You're my safe place, my calm after every storm." She cheekily replied, caressing her girlfriend's cheeks as they both stared at each other's eyes.

They sat there, breathing in each other's presence and without a word Maven gently lifted Cress's chin and captured her lips in a tender kiss with intimacy.

It was slow, deliberate, and filled with unspoken promises. Cress responded, her hands finding Maven's shoulders, pulling her closer.

"Mahal" Maven whispered against her lips, her voice heavy with emotion, "I want to show you how much I love you."
