I was currently sitting on the kitchen counter as I listened to Antonio move around in the kitchen trying to prepare lunch.
He had been furious this morning because of my conversation with Scott. I couldn't tell if he was jealous or he was just acting angry because he didn't want his plans to be ruined but either way I found myself apologizing.
Something I rarely do.
When Scott had asked me the question about the divorce, I didn't know why, but I felt uncomfortable talking about divorcing Antonio. Before, I would have been delighted as long as it meant staying as far away from him as possible, but now it all felt different.
“What are you thinking about?" Antonio's voice cut through my thoughts as he handed something to me and I took it, feeling for what it was. It was a snack bag.
“Careful, it's open,” he said and I nodded as I held the bag in my hand.
"What are you making? It smells like pasta,” I said,
" Glad your nose is working fine,” he said and I scowled.
"Mrs Gonzalez!" I heard the cheerful voice of my assistant call as hurried footsteps made their way towards me.
“Hello, Mr Gonzalez," she greeted Antonio who just hummed as she held my hand. “I've missed you at the office,"
I couldn't help but chuckle as I squeezed her hand.
“How are you feeling, is there any improvement?” She asked and I shook my head.
"No, I still have to stay home and that sucks, I'm bored out of my mind.” I said with a groan.
“It's going to be okay, it will pass, you'll see," she said and I smiled in appreciation.
“By the way why, why are you here? You should be at the office in my absence," I said,
“Yeah, but there's something I need that only you can do, but I don't know how that's going to happen." she explained,
" What is it?” I asked,
"There's a document that needs your signature, I don't have the right to sign it,”
"Oh,” I said, understanding what she meant. "I can try, help me down from the counter,"
“But we can't mess the document, and right now I don't think you'll be able to sign it," she said,
“Bring it, I'll sign," Antonio who has been quiet all this while finally spoke.
“I'm her husband so I have the right to sign the document, with her consent of course," he said,
“Oh, that's okay, I can give it to your husband right?" Sam said, asking for confirmation.
"Yeah sure,” I said and I heard the sound of an envelope opening and I guess she was bringing out the document to give to Antonio.
"I'll quickly review and sign,” I heard Antonio say.
“Okay sir," Sam said. “Ma'am your husband is so sweet," yeah tell me about it,
“All done," came his voice seconds later.
“Okay sir, thank you, I'll take my leave now, get well soon ma'am," Sam said before she hugged me and I heard her footsteps retreating.
“Do you want to go out?" Antonio suddenly asked,
“Huh?" I asked and I heard him chuckle,
“Will you like to go out for dinner, any restaurant of your choice," he said,
" Ow, that would be lovely,” I found myself saying,
" Well, it's a date then.”

I never imagined that there would come a day in my life when I wouldn't see the beautiful colors of the world. Only darkness.
I wouldn't have known the color of dress I was wearing if Antonio didn't tell me.
I sighed as I rested my head on the car window.
“Stop looking like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders," Antonio said and I turned to him not like I could see him.
“Try being blind for days and know how it feels,"
“I was once crippled," that shut me up and I turned back to the window.
The car came to a stop as Antonio stepped out of the car and then some seconds later I heard my door open as he helped me out.
“Thank you," I muttered,
Antonio led me up some set of steps and I followed silently.
“Good evening, Mr and Mrs Gonzalez, please follow me, I'll show you to your table," I heard someone say as Antonio continued leading me and then he stopped as I heard the sound of the chair moving before he helped me sit down as he pulled his own chair and sat down.
“Would you like to place your order now?" The waitress asked,
" We'd like to start off with a bottle of champagne, is that okay Lilly?” He asked me,
"Yeah,” I simply said,
" Alright then,” the server said before walking away. I just remained silent as I tried to feel my surroundings, it seemed like there weren't many people here.
“Do you feel better now? Earlier today you were complaining about being bored," it shouldn't have happened but I felt my heart skip a beat.
Why did he care so much if I was bored or not? He's not supposed to care right?
“ I didn't think you would…” my words were cut off by an irky annoying voice.
"Well, well, if it isn't the spoilt little witch,”
