The room became dead silent and it was like everyone held their breath as I turned to Lilly before turning to Rodrigo..
“Stay here," I said and was about to stand up but Lilly held my hand shaking her head.
“I heard that there was a party here and I brought friends," a familiar voice said from outside and I turned to Lilly who had her eyes wide in shock,
“She followed you," she mouthed as she stood up before turning around in confusion and I held her hand stopping her.
I knew I was going to be followed but I didn't know who was going to follow me. I didn't know that Lilly's mother was the mastermind behind everything but I knew that someone might have been watching me in case my wife was alive so I had everything planned out.
“Do you trust me Lilly?" I said as I held her shoulders trying to calm her down from how panicked she looked.
“She's out there Antonio, there's no way out of this, she's going to kill us," she said as her eyes welled up in tears but I shook my head.
“Rodrigo do me a favor and hide Lilly while I get the door," I said and Lilly was about to protest but I warned her with my eyes and she quietly followed Rodrigo to a room.
I composed myself before walking to the door and opening it to be met by Lilly's mother and two men standing behind her. One I recognized, the other I didn't.
“Do you care about me so much you had to follow me? I told you I wasn't going to do anything reckless," I said as I folded my arms looking at her,
Adrian scoffed before taking a step forward.
“Where is she?" He asked and I raised a brow feigning innocence. I had to buy us time.
“Excuse me, who?" I asked,
“Enough of this bullshit!" Adrian snapped as he brought out a gun and pointed at me but I didn't even flinch.
“Tell me where she is and I might spare you, where the hell is Lilly?" her traitor of a mother asked, she should be ashamed of herself.
“I thought you killed her, I should be asking you about her,”
"Get out of my way!” Her mother snapped before pushing past me and entering the cabin.
Just a few more minutes.
“Can you people just…”
"Please! I'm here, don't hurt my husband!” I heard Lilly say and I cursed as I turned to her in anger,
“I tried to stop her," Rodrigo said as he shot a glare at Lilly's mother.
"I told you to hide,” I whispered as she came to stand in front of me but I pushed her back.
" You're so stubborn Lilly,” I growled,
"So you live after all," her mother said with bitterness, her eyes filled with malice.
“Of course, you think you can easily kill me and take what my father spent years working for?!" Lilly snapped wanting to step forward but I pulled her back again,
“Mom, what are we waiting for? We have them all here we can just kill them and set the damn house on fire," Adrian suggested and I narrowed my eyes on him.
Soon he'll be rotting in jail. All of them.
Adrian raised the gun he was holding as he pointed it at me.
“Hand her over and I might spare your miserable life!" Adrian said and I couldn't help but laugh,
“Miserable? You speak of misery, when you're the one waiting for someone to die so a company can be given to you, you can't do anything on your own because you've always been a loser!” His eyes burned with hatred and I knew that I struck a nerve.
“Mom, I'm not going to watch this crippled bastard insult me, give me the order and I'll kill them," he said, turning to his traitor mother before his eyes turned to me.
He thought I didn't see it but I did. He gave a sign to the other guy to pull the trigger but I was faster.
It all happened in a blur, I pushed Lilly to the floor as I charged at Adrian and tackled him to the ground.
“Stay down Lilly!" I shouted as I punched Adrian and collected the gun from his hand. He struggled against me, punching me in my stomach but I didn't relent. I hit him with my elbow and he pushed me off him making the gun fall off my hand.
He went after it, but I was faster.
Come on, where the hell are they?
I quickly took the gun and pointed it at him and he froze raising his hands up.
I heard Lilly scream and I turned my eyes to her to see her mother pressing a gun to her head.
Fuck!
“Put the gun down or she dies," she said, her voice calm and menacing.
“No, don't listen to her," Lilly said as she struggled,
My eyes turned to Rodrigo who was on the floor in pain as the man pressed his leg on his injured hand with a gun pointing at him.
They thought they had won.
“I'm not sure you would want to do that, because I have a gun pointing at your pretty little boy, so what's it gonna be? You fucking hurt my wife and I blow your son's head… And you fucking bastard take your leg off his hand!" I snapped as I fired at the man who was still putting his weight on Rodrigo's injured hand and he cursed in pain holding his hand.
“Fuck you!” the man growled but he was the least of my worries.
“You know it's over for you right? You're going to prison," I said and her mother laughed, pressing the gun into her head even more and I panicked but tried to look strong.
“Not if you all die,” she said as she gave a dark laugh. And then she pulled the trigger.
