Chapter 30: O, Brother, Who Arth Thou?

When we last left Koji, he had fusion evolved into Beowolfmon and was trying to catch up with Duskmon. He wanted some answers from the dark dude, but blondie gave him the slip. Meanwhile while everyone was celebrating the birth of Patamon, Sakkakumon decided to crash the party. He used the gangs own attacks against them so he can take away their spirits.

It looked bad for our heroes until Aldamon figured out that by combining their attacks, they might get the upper hand. Mixing up their attacks mixed up Sakkakumon which spelled his defeat. Wow. When these guys work together, it really works.

In the Continent of Darkness, Beowolfmon was still running around, searching for Duskmon and hoping to finally have his questions answered. He stopped all of a sudden when he looked down to see many jagged pillars of rock.

Beowolfmon: Where did he go? Duskmon! He shouted.

Beowolfmon then spotted the Warrior of Darkness heading inside a wall with a hole in it. He then jumps down and follows after him. There were many holes in the walls which meant that Digimon used to live there. Beowolfmon walks into one but finds nothing.

Duskmon: Who are you?

Beowolfmon: Huh? I could ask you the same question?

Duskmon: Why did you follow me?

Beowolfmon: Because I felt I had to.

Duskmon: Your presence is painful to me.

Beowolfmon: Is that why you hide from me in the shadows?

Duskmon: It is not.

Beowolfmon: Then why?

Duskmon: Destiny.

Beowolfmon: Destiny?

Duskmon: Darkness hides from the light until it is ready to destroy it. You, Warrior of Light are my destiny. Darkness will prevail. Your light will be extinguished!

Duskmon draws his two swords and lunges at Beowolfmon who partied with his weapon. They both stood their ground. Then all of a sudden, they saw each other. Not as Digimon, but as Humans. This surprised them both as they were both blown back, sliding into the dark corridors. 

Beowolfmon: Frozen Hunter!

Duskmon: Deadly Gaze!

Beowolfmon summons a giant wolf loads of light while Duskmon counters by shooting beams of darkness from all the eyes on his body. The sheer power of the attacks collided, causing an explosion that destroyed the structure they were in. As they were fighting, Cherubimon watched amused by this.

Back with the others...

Zoe: At least we're mostly all together. I hate to be out there alone.

Tommy: Me too.

Teruo: Same here.

JP: I bet it doesn't bother Koji.

Takuya: Well yeah. If he's okay.

Aegiomon: He's okay.

Katsuhara: How do you know?

Aegiomon: I just do. Besides, Koji's a fighter. He won't be beaten by that creep Duskmon.

Patamon: Let's go. Let's go. Let's go!

JP: We'd love too, but we kinda have to now where.

Bokomon: Yes. Let's not go rushing off in all directions.

Neemon: We can do that?

Bokomon: Let's see. He pulls on Neemon's waistband then let's go, causing Neemon to fall.
