Chapter 32: My Brother in Spirit

What is it with these guys? Just when they finally got back together, Koji ran off after Velgemon and then Takuya ran off after him. The others looked for information for the Rose Morning Star, but they only found  a creepy Trailmon graveyard.

Inside was an old Trailmon who said he knew about the Rose Morning Star, but it seems he only said that to scam a bath and some other favors. Then he turned into a young Trailmon. Turns it he really did know something about Rose Morning Star. It's where Ophanimon is. Man, this is getting good now.

Out in the harsh wilds of the Dark Continent was Koji. He was trekking through a wind storm in search of Duskmon. He manages to find a trench where he took cover from the harsh winds. Koji pulls out his D-Tector and thinks about all that had transpired. Duskmon. Velgemon. The fact that he was once human. And his connection to Koji.

Koji: I don't get it. Why did he freak out when he saw me? Why did he make me remember? What does my past matter to him? Is he using me, or is he really me? He looks...just like me.

With the winds finally dying down, Koji comes out of the trench and continues his search. Meanwhile, Takuya and Aegiomon were searching for Koji.

Takuya: Koji? Koji, where are you?

Aegiomon: Koji!

The two jump down a wall and look around for any sign of Koji.

Takuya: Come on, buddy. Give me a break here.

Meanwhile, the others are looking around for Bokomon and Neemon.

JP: Nobody. They didn't leave a note.

Tommy: Now way. Bokomon and Neemon are gone too?

Zoe: Didn't we tell them to stay right here? Those two are even worse than boys!

Teruo: Well, I'm pretty sure they are boys.

Katsuhara: Heh. I'm not too sure on Bokomon.

Teppei: Seriously. And he gets on our case about wandering off?

JP: Well I guess they did what we did instead of what we said.

Tommy: Shouldn't we be heading to the Rose Morning Star?

Zoe: We should. But Takuya and Koji need to go too.

JP: Guys if you can hear, go to the Rose Morning Star.

Tommy: There's a castle there and that's where they're keeping Ophanimon.

D-Tectors: [Static]

JP: Oh, beans. They can't hear us.

Chiaki: I guess the D-Tector's only let us communicate once we're within a certain range.

Tommy: What are we gonna do?

JP: Well we did promise them we'd stay here.

Zoe: I guess we should wait. Well, at least for now.

JP: What do you mean for now?! If we're gonna wait, let's wait! Z, do you think we should go?

Teruo: Man, where's Aegiomon when you need him?

Meanwhile, the less helpful Digimon were scouring around the forest in search of Patamon who's gone missing.

Bokomon: Patamon, where are you, my boy?

Neemon: Patamon?

Bokomon: Please come out already. Hide and seek is over, please come out.

Neemon: Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Bokomon: Patamon! He has given us the slip.

Neemon: Maybe he just got lost.
