Chapter 35: Takuya and Koji's Evolution Revolution

At long last, the gang finally arrived at the Rose Morning Star. After hopping on some floating rocks, they got to the castle gate where a couple of Phantomon gave them a welcoming party that they'd rather have skipped. But Koichi in his hero form saved the day. Once they got inside the castle, more creeps started to grab their attention.

But their new friend Oryxmon, proved he was baaaad to the bone and took them straight to Ophanimon, but then Cherubimon showed up and things got downright dismal. He got the kids and all their legendary spirits right where when wants 'em and that ain't good.

Cherubimon: [Roars] Cherubimon grabbed Oryxmon and shook him around above his head.

Aegiomon: Put him down!

Agunimon: Stop! What're you doing?

Cherubimon: Oryxmon has outlived his usefulness. He's a pawn who annoyingly led you here. He's existence is no longer necessary.

Cherubimon said as he threw Oryxmon down onto the ground as everyone watched in horror as he blasted him with black lightning and destroyed him.

Aegiomon: Oryxmon! You scum!

Aegiomon as well as all of the Warriors stare in disgust and anger at the fallen Digimon's cruelty.

Cherubimon: How novel that you are still shocked by my brutality. I will destroy anyone to collect the Spirits of the 10 Legendary Warriors. Even you, Ophanimon, are not immune.

Ophanimon tried to get touch the shore, but was shocked by it.

Loweemon: So I was a pawn of yours as well?

Cherubimon: You were my most willing puppet ensuring that my bidding would be carried out thoroughly. By using you I made certain all the Spirits would arrive here.

Loweemon: You manipulated me! You heartless, selfish creep!

Cherubimon: As unaware as you were of my brilliant scheme, you still turned out to be the best subject I ever had. You saw the pathetic creatures in the lower depths of this castle. They were Digimon I experimented with. But they couldn't fuse with the Dark Spirit the way you did. Ha! Unfortunately they couldn't stand up to the intensity, my experiment broke them.

Loweemon: How'd you like some of your intensity back? Shadow Meteor!

Loweemon fired his attack at Cherubimon. Unfortunately, Cherubimon merely laughed as he blocked the attack, resulting in next to no damage.

Loweemon: What's going on? Why is my attack power so weak?

Bokomon: It's because there's no Darkness. The fact that no shadows exist here has knocked the power out of your attack.

Loweemon: But how can that-

Cherubimon: Silence! It is time for me to take back the glorious Spirit of Darkness I gave you. Cherubimon said as he grabbed Loweemon.

Agunimon: Oh no you won't.

The Warriors of Flame and Light turned back to their human forms as they pulled out their D-tectors.

Takuya: Execute now/Execute! Fusion Evolution!

Aldamon: ALDAMON!

Beowolfmon: BEOWOLFMON!

Aegiomon: Aegiomon, digivolve to...

Aegiochusmon: Aegiochusmon!

Beowolfmon charged at Cherubimon, slashing his golden claws at him to save his brother, but the evil one jumped back.

Aldamon: Atomic Inferno! He fires his attack, but it was redirected to Loweemon and hit him in the face.

Aegiochusmon: Loweemon!
