Today, I was supposed to take the aptitude test. I wasn't that nervous, if you count almost up chucking your favorite cereal. Yeah, I totally wasn't nervous. Like at all.
"Honey, you'll be fine. There's nothing to worry about." My mother said, her smile brightening up my day already.
"I know mom, I just am a little nervous. That's all. I mean, what if something goes horribly wrong during the test?" I sighed, exhaling deeply.
"Nothing bad will happen. And just know, that tomorrow at the Choosing Ceremony, your brothers and I will be there for you, every step of the way." She said, grasping my hand in hers. "Now, Genevieve, go hurry to the bus. It's almost here. Wouldn't want to miss the test now, would you?"
"No mother." I gave her a quick hug and exchanged one with my brothers as well, before I ran off to catch the bus.
