it was the end of the ceremony an everyone in the dauntless section got up. I got up an looked over to where my parents were sitting an I seen empty seats. I sighed and followed the other dauntless members. When we got outside we ran up to these polls. People started climbing up them and I soon followed. When we reached the top this boy looked at me and said "get ready to jump" I looked at him and then I heard this rumbling soon followed the train. Everyone started to jump on the train an I also followed I was looking out the door and seen a girl my skin complexion jump for the door. He hand grabbed the Handel but it started to slip I reached out and pulled her in. She smiled at me as she was out of breath I said "I'm Taylor" she said "I'm Christina" she sat down and I stood looking out the train door I then saw some dauntless born jump off the train onto a building I said "there jumping" Christina said "what" and she popped up an looked out the train car door just like I was and she also saw the people jump. I looked at her and she said "together"? I nodded an we both ran and jumped off the train onto the building top. I stuck the landing but Christina didn't, I helped her up and she dusted her self off. We then herd a bombing voice said we walked over to were we herd it coming from an I seen this guy that I must say is extremely attractive he was standing in a ledge of the building and he said "all right listen up, I'm Eric I'm one of your leaders an if you want to enter dauntless this is your way in , an if you don't have the guts to jump then you don't belong in dauntless" a boy from erudite said "is there water at the bottom or something"? Eric looked at him and said "I guess you'll find out, or not" Christina said " we just jumped an they want us to jump again" eric said "well someone's got to go fist who's it gonna be"? I looked around as did everyone else and said "me" a lot of heads turned to look at me as I walked up to eric an he looked at me he then hopped down off the ledge I looked over the ledge and seen a dark hole at the bottom I looked back at eric an he just looked at me I then took my long cardigan off and threw it to the ground I herd the boy peter from candor yelled "yeah stiff take it off" a few people laughed at him I then climbed on top of the ledge where eric previously stood I looked down and took a deep breath and jumped
All I felt was the wind flowing underneath me and I smiled I was surprised I didn't scream on my way down I then felt myself land on something that made me bound back up as soon as I hit it when I looked down at what I was sitting on I saw it was a net I then felt somebody pull the net down some an I looked to my left to see who is was an I saw somebody I hadn't seen in a while he helped me down out the net down and I just looked at him he said " what'd you get pushed"? I said "no" he said "what's you're name"? I said "taylor" he looked at me for a second and said "hi taylor" I said "hey " he smiled and then he yelled "first jumper taylor" I then herd cheering and he said "welcome to dauntless". A boy then put his arm around my shoulder and said "come stand over here". I stood where he put me and I watched one by one as everyone else jumped from the roof to the net. When everyone was down Christina stood by me and then the boy that helped me out of the net started to speak he said " dauntless born go with Lauren transfers stay with me" the dauntless born followed Lauren an then he said "most of the time I work in intelligence but during your training I'll be your instructor, my names four" Christina said " four like the number"? Four then said "exactly like the number" Christina smirked and said "what happened one through three were taken"? Four smirked and said "what's your name"? Christian softly said "yes" four then said "good, now follow me" he started walking an we followed behind him we then came to this large area where there were a lot of people some were fighting others were talking an some were partying sorta with a small group of people four said "this is the pit the center of life here at dauntless " I smiled at the fun all the people were having four showed us around some more and then we were in this room he said "your gonna be sleeping here for the next 10 weeks" this boy named al from candor said "boys or girls"? Four looked at him and said "both" four then said "if you like this you're gonna love the bathroom" this tall girl named molly said "Great" we walked into where the bathrooms were and four looked at christina and said "you should feel right at home candor, everything out in the open" he walked away and yelled "get changed" me and christina looked at each other and and walked over to these beds I picked up the clothes and started to get dressed as I pull my pants on under my dress peter said "nice legs stiff" I just look at him and then take my dress of an put my top on. After everyone changed we grabbed our old clothes and threw them into this bin full of fire. We all then walked into what I think is the dinning hall, some people look at us and others don't even notice us we all walked to his table an I next to christina and molly and for on the other side of me with al will and peter across from us. They all started to dig in and I poked my fork at the hamburger on my plate christina said "have you never seen a hamburger before"? I said "no I've seen one I just had never eaten one" the boy will said " abnegation eat plain food, plant based diet no sauses and a minimum season" christina said " what text book did you swallow"? Christina said "you my friend have a death wish" I smiled an whispered to her "and you my friend have a crush" she blushed an looked at my plate I smiled and then will said "you know he was second in his class, they tried to recruit him for leadership twich but he said no" christina looked at his back as he walked away I said "will who was the first in his class"? He opened his mouth to say something but then we herd everyone start banging their cups against the tables and we seen eric and this other guy that was African American walk out he was on what looked like a balcony the African american man said "initiats stand" we all stood up the African American man then said "you have chosen to join the warrior faction, tasked with the defense of this city and all it's inhabitants, we believe in ordinary acts of bravery and the courage that drives one person to stand up for another respect that, do us proud" they then walked away and everyone started clapping I smiled even though i couldn't help but feel like I've meet the man the just spoke before us i shook the feeling off an looked at christina and we started clapping to soon everyone in the room was clapping , dauntless members then picked us up as if we just jumped into a crowed of screaming fans and we were crowd surffing. After dinner we all went to sleep I smiled to myself as I drifted off into a dreamless sleep
