~Third Person...~

(Y/N) coughed as he groaned, he felt his arm was numb as his eyes fluttered open to see darkness. Though he soon realized he was staring at the void as he yelped and shimmied backwards to avoid trying his luck again. He panted and looked around to see a figure walking towards him...Salem...

He would go wide eyed before looking to the gateway, his eyes going wide eyed as he now saw it was transparent like a store front wind, showing Weiss pounding on it with her fists as he could also see Grimm being shot down by Cinder, Penny, anyone able to fight. So that meant he was all alone before noticing he also couldn't hear much before reaching for his helmet. Quickly pulling out a spare earpiece from within before tossing over his helmet through the gateway, which Weiss effortlessly caught.

"We-Weiss-?"

"(Y/N)! Behind you!"

Whipping around, he held up his vortex shield to catch a blast from Salem's dark energy beam before jolting as he was able to send it back. Salem was hit and she immediately screamed out and was flung backwards as he panted before shifting back over to Weiss to see Ruby now beside her with a look of horror.

"(Y/N)! You need to get over here, please!"

Looking back to Salem, she had begun to reform and stand up as he gulped and picked up Shallow Horkos as it laid nearby. Last time he counted, he only had two more shots before holding out his gauntlet towards Ruby and Weiss, both of whom were ready to catch it. However, when he fired the line? The tip just barely passed over, which Weiss desperately tried to grab as tears streamed down her face.

"N-No!"

"Weiss! Calm down! Ruby!? Call Oscar! I got a plan!"

"On it!"

Ruby would spring up and jump up, the sand she kicked up whilst running didn't even pass through. Weiss hiccuped and looked like she was having a panic attack.

"Hey! Weiss! Listen to me! Right now? I got a plan! Okay? But you have to go help the others! Okay!?"

"O-Okay!"

Weiss stood up as she held Myrtenaster at the ready.

"Atta girl!"

"I-I love you!"

"I'll say it back to you when I get there!"

Soon Oscar darted over and paled when he saw Salem beginning to reform again as (Y/N) waved. Weiss would pass the helmet to Oscar as she herself would dash off, leaving Oscar alone with (Y/N).

"(Y-Y/N)! They said you have a plan! What do you need me to do-!?"

"Truth is? I don't have one..."

He flicked Shallow Horkos to its Kraber form before racking the bolt back, ejecting the spent casing as he then slammed it forward. Oscar seemed to be on ten verge of tears as well before Ozpin took over with a shimmer of yellow.

"There has to be a way we can get you out of there-!"

"Ozpin? You and I both know if I can get out? So can she..."

Salem was finally reformed as (Y/N) pointed to her, her face adorned an annoyed scowl.

"Truth is, Oz? We both know what's gonna happen...It's a new world. Imma make sure of that. You? You go ahead and try to look busy. As for me...?"

~First Person~

"A constant thorn..."

"Right back at you..."

Turning around, I stepped towards Salem with my face adorning a determined scowl that must have amused Salem as she smirked. I made sure my grasp on Shallow Horkos was firm whilst Salem and I sized up.
