RWBY: Until the Bitter End

Once Upon a Time...

"Once upon a time-"

"Mooooom...?"

"Yes, sweetie?"

Strewn across the room of a small child, were toys. These took on the form of soldier figurines and then some larger ones. Such as Titans, Grunts, Spectres, even toy Grimm...

In the bed of a small child sat their mother who held had just tucked them in. Yet the child was a bit unruly.

"Can you get to the end, please? I always fall asleep before you get to the end..."

"Oh, sweetie. The end is a bit longer than you think..."

The mother's hand ran up to caress the child's cheek, who gave a small whine as she looked out the window to the shattered move. Off in the distance, the mother saw the Beacon Academy Tower and her breath trembled a little. Her child would notice this and sighed...

"Okay. Mommy...You can read it from the beginning."

"Of course...Once upon a time...there was a boy who was linked to a Goddess..."

(Y/N) held a thumbs up to Athena for the first time, and after a moment or two at attempting the gesture? Athena nailed it as the young (Y/N) smiled.

"The boy was fighting for a man- and evil. Evil man who wanted nothing more than the best for his arm."

In simulations, (Y/N) would run across a chasm with an R-97 in hand before leaping off to fire at a passing Pilot. Landing with a roll, he jumped back to avoid a grenade that had been thrown that had knocked him back a bit. Springing up, he was forced behind cover that the enemy kept firing upon until Athena, the Ion class Titan, burst though a wall with a smash and stomp.

"For so long they trained and trained. Until finally one day the boy and the Goddess had enough and left..."

(Y/N) frowned as he sat in Athena's chassis as he was just forced to leave the one true friend he had behind.

"For so long they traveled until a man found them. He wasn't evil. Nor was he good. He was just there."

Blisk now proceeded to an LZ with (Y/N) in tow as the boy had accepted Blisk's offer to join the Apex Predators. He didn't know what to expect, nor what to feel as he made his way into a new chapter in lifee.

"With the man? He met a group of Knights who he called...Family..."

Richter sat on a rooftop with (Y/N) nearby as he laid on his stomach. Firing off a round from the Longbow DMR, Richter pulled out a pair of binoculars and gave a hearty laugh. Kane, the party man, and (Y/N) ran from authorities again. Viper handing off a box of mochi to (Y/N) as he giggled happily. Ash, the simulacrum that put the boy through hell, but made him stronger too. Slone, the two lived in mutual respect. Just that simple. And Kuben Blisk, the man who would congratulate and force the others to sing him happy birthday once.

"But then the Leader of the Knights betrayed the boy by beginning to take jobs with the evil man."

(Y/N) threw some stuff into a bag and slowly pulled put Athena's data core from her chassis. Before turning to leave the Apex Predators HQ, which Blisk would oversee from his office with a pair of clenched fists that soon fell as he sighed out.

"The boy had lost his home once again. He then wandered alone, searching for his place in the world...Until..."

(Y/N) scowled as he faced off against Militia Grunts and a Pilot as he held Athena's core tightly with a Wingman held up high. Until Sarah Briggs arrived and looked at the boy...

"Finding a new family, they accepted him and even understood him...And they began to show him their ways."

(Y/N) stood by as Captain Lastimosa gave a crate of provisions to a group of refugees that were more than happy to be given aid. And soon? (Y/N) would give a crate to a pair of refugees and farmers that smiled in contentment before looking to Lastimosa, who wore a proud smile.
