I sat at the dining room table, enjoying the warm and cozy atmosphere that Adele had created. The breakfast she had made was delicious, and I was grateful for the chance to spend some quality time with her and Dante.

As we chatted and laughed, Adele suddenly smiled and said, "This is lovely, isn't it? The three of us together, having breakfast like a normal family."

I returned her smile, feeling a sense of belonging. "Yes, it's very nice."

Dante, who was sitting across from me, grinned. "Yeah, let's do it every day."

Adele laughed. "Oh, I'd like that. But you know what would make it even better?"

I looked at her curiously. "What's that?"

Adele's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Grandkids! I'd love to have grandkids running around the house, playing and laughing together."

I felt a surge of surprise, and my eyes widened as I looked at Dante. His expression had suddenly turned uncomfortable, and he cleared his throat.

"Ah, Mom, let's not get ahead of ourselves," he said, trying to sound casual.

But Adele just ignored his discomfort and kept talking. "Oh, I know it's not something we can plan, but a mother can dream, can't she?" She looked at me and smiled. "And I think Myra here would make a wonderful mother."

My face turned bright red as I looked at Dante, who was now staring at his plate, his jaw clenched in discomfort. I felt a sense of panic, unsure of how to respond.

"Oh, Adele, I don't think..." I started to say, but she just talked over me.

"Oh, I know it's not something you're thinking about right now, dear, but trust me, it's something that will happen when the time is right. And I couldn't be happier about it."

Dante suddenly pushed back his chair and stood up, his expression tense. "Excuse me, I need to go make some calls."

Adele smiled, seemingly oblivious to the tension she had just created. "Oh, okay dear, go ahead. Myra and I will just chat for a bit longer."

I looked at Dante, who was now walking out of the room, and then back at Adele, who was still smiling innocently. I felt trapped and uncomfortable, unsure of how to respond.

"Ah, yeah, sure. That sounds nice," I said finally, trying to sound casual despite the awkwardness of the situation.

I walked into the living room, looking for a place to sit and collect my thoughts. But as I spotted Dante lounging on the couch, I felt my heart sink. I wasn't in the mood for his games, not after the dream I'd had and the awkward breakfast with his mother.

But as I tried to sneak past him, Dante caught my arm, his fingers wrapping around my wrist like a vice. "Hey, where are you off to in such a hurry?" he asked.

I tried to shake him off, but he held tight. "Just looking for some peace and quiet," I muttered, trying to keep my tone neutral.

Dante scoffs, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Peace and quiet? You're not going to find that around here, baby. Not with me around."

I rolled my eyes, trying to play it cool. "What do you want, Dante?"

"I hate brats, don't ever roll your eyes at me again"
He warned

"Okay Sir"
I said

"Good girl"
He said,

How I wanted to roll eyes at that statement!

He leaned in, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "We are going out tonight. To a casino."

I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "A casino? Why?"
