The following day, Demi noticed that I was very lonely so she talked to me. I told her what happened yesterday. She already heard what happened at the Damian-punching-Josh issue. News really spread real quickly in this school.

“He’s wrong for punching Josh like that,” Demi said. “He should just go to you and asked what’s happening.”

“Yeah,” I nodded. “I told him to say sorry.”

“And he said no right. Pride,” Demi said. “So, what are you going to do?”

“I don’t know,” I admitted. “Am I wrong?”

“No,” Demi said. “You just did the right thing. Damian was the one who’s wrong. Did he say sorry to you’?”

“No,” I said sadly.

“That Damian. What gotten into him. He punched Josh then he agreed to tutor that bitch,” Demi said gritting her teeth. “I’ll talk to that guy.”

“No,” I said. “Just leave him alone. That’s his decision.”

“But you are his girlfriend,” Demi said then I looked at her. “He should have asked your permission first.”

I sighed. But I’m not his girlfriend.

“Just forget it for a while,” she sighed.

But I couldn’t just forget it. Damian punching Josh. Josh bleeding. Me bringing Josh to the clinic. Me going to the gymnasium. Damian saying hurtful words to me. Damian saying he’s tutoring Kristine. Kristine going at the gymnasium. I hate it! I hate my life! I hate – Damian?

Damian was standing near the fountain. I don’t know if he’s waiting for me or for Kristine. He saw me but I didn’t go to him. He walked toward me and said. “Chelsea,” I missed this. Damian saying my name. “Please. Just talk to me.”

“What should I say to you?” I said flatly.

Then I saw Kristine walking at our direction. I started at her then at Damian.

“So you are waiting for Kristine. I thought so,” I said. “Have fun!” I snapped then ran away from him.

I thought I heard Damian called my name but I didn’t look back. I feel like crying. Everything was so perfect then this. Why was this thing happening to me? Did I do something wrong? Is it because of Josh? Because I was blushing every time he smiled at me? But I don’t like Josh. It’s Damian that I liked. I don’t know what I’m going to do.

I wasn’t looking at my direction because I bumped into someone.

“I’m sorry,” I apologized my head bowed down.

                “Chelsea?”

I looked up and saw Josh. “What are you doing? Are you crying?” he asked.

I didn’t notice that my tears started to flow. I didn’t answer him.

“If you need someone to talk to, I’m here,” he said to me.

Maybe I need someone to talk to. I just nodded.

He looked at me sadly then he said, “Come on. I know where we can talk. My favourite place.”

He brought me to a Taco food shop.

                “Tacos?” I asked.

“Yeah,” he said with a wicked grin. “Food always makes me happy. I ate so much when I’m sad.”

                I smiled.

                “Finally!” he grimaced.

                “What?” I asked.

                “You smiled,” he said smiling.

                I blushed. Not again!

“So,” he said interrupting my thoughts. “Is this because of that guy?”

Our tacos were served to us. “Yes,” I replied. I bit into my taco and I don’t know that I’m pressing it really hard because the taco shell cracked. “Ooh!” I said embarrassed.

“I’ll order another one,” he said raising his hand but I stopped him.

                “No need,” I mumbled.

“Here take mine,” he said putting his taco into my plate. “You’ll need it.”

                “But – “ I started.

“No buts,” he pressed. “So, where are we? Yeah, that guy. What’s his name?”

“Damian,” I replied. Damian’s smiling face then flashed into my mind. I missed him so much.

“This Damian, your boyfriend?” he asked.

“Uhm, maybe? I don’t know,” I admitted. “Were dating and everything but our relationship is not official.”

“Why don’t you ask him?” he suggested.

“I thought about that. But I don’t have the time to ask him,” I said.

                “You love him?” he asked.

Do I love Damian? I love him more than my life.

                “Yes,” I answered honestly.

“And does he love you?” he asked again.

                “I – I think so,” I replied.

“I think he does,” he said leaning on the table. Our faces were so close to each other. My heart started pounding in my chest. I leaned into my chair.

“Tomorrow, I’ll ask him,” I said to him.

“Good,” he said smiling. “Eat your taco but don’t crack it okay?” he joked.

After I ate we went home.
