Lexa rushed through the hospital, running to find out where Caroline was. She spotted Matt sat outside of a room. He spotted Lexa and stood up. She crashed into him with a hug.

"How is she? Any news?" Lexa hurried out.

"Nothing yet. The Sheriff had to step out to the lobby because the Mayor died. We can only find out when she's out of surgery" Matt sighed out.

Lexa choked on a sob. Matt led her to the seats and sat her down. They sat huddled together for a while. Tears streamed down Lexa's face. She could handle the supernatural, she could handle everything life threw at her, but Lexa was sure that she would not handle it if Caroline died. Caroline had been there for her for years. Where one had gone, the other was not too far behind. People would assume they were sisters considering how much time they spent together. Liz practically had a second daughter in Lexa. Waiting on news was horrific. Time seemed to slow down and yet the world seemed to speed up. Matt and Lexa sat in a bubble, hoping for news on Caroline. Bonnie walked up to them; concern etched on her face.

"How is Caroline?" She asks.

"She's not good, Bon" Matt tells her softly. Lexa runs her hands over her face and sighs.

"What happened?" Bonnie asked confused.

"We were driving, and Tyler heard this noise, and he got..." Matt stammered out trying to explain.

"A noise?" Bonnie asked. Lexa caught the horrified tone in her voice but Matt did not.

"He got this migraine or something and he lost control of the car and... I thought that Caroline was fine and then... And the she wasn't so..." Matt continued. Lexa sighed. She'd forgotten that werewolves and their bloodlines were also sensitive to supernatural deterrents. To be fair, she hadn't done too much research on the wolf bloodlines that might be in Mystic Falls.

Bonnie took a few steps away to lean against the wall. Matt asked them if they wanted coffee. Lexa said yes please, but Bonnie declined. Matt patted Lexa on the shoulder. She curled up and closed her eyes once he'd left. Elena came round the corner and walked up to Bonnie.

"Bonnie. How's Caroline?" She asked the Bennett witch quietly seeing Lexa 'asleep'.

"She's weak. They don't know if she's going to make it" Bonnie sniffled out.

"What?" Elena gasped out. The two girls embrace. Damon comes up behind them. Elena lets go of Bonnie and looks at her intensely. "Is there something that you can do? Like a spell or something?"

"She doesn't know how, do you?" Damon snarks out. Elena whips around and hushes him, pointing at Lexa.

"No, I don't" Bonnie sighs out.

"No, you don't. It took Emily years to learn a spell like that" Damon tells them.

"Well, I can take down a vampire, that spell was easy to learn" Bonnie bites out to Damon, giving him a glare. Lexa had to hold in a snort at Bonnie's response.

"I can give Caroline some blood" Damon offered.

"No, no way" Elena said. Lexa almost 'woke up' to slap her. This was Caroline for fucks sake!

"No, just enough to heal her. She will be safe in the hospital and it will be out of her system in a day, she will be better Elena"

"It's too risky, I can't agree to that" Elena said sternly.

It wasn't even her decision. It was Lexa's plan to give her some of Katherine's blood anyway. But she couldn't believe Elena would want Caroline to die.

"Do it" Bonnie spoke up. Lexa could imagine the offended look on Elena's face. "This is Caroline. We can't let her die. Do it"

"If I do this, you and me, call a truce?" Damon asked the witch.
