Ben and Neo both walk through the wreckage left behind by the Jabberwalkers at the marketplace during nighttime. Upon walking, Ben sees Hawker's mauled corpse, and simply kicks him to the side, his body floating in the river.
Ben: Isn't it lovely having mindless beasts do all the heavy lifting? They aren't Grimm, but a perfect substitute.
Neo simply nods. A stray Jabberwalker jumps at Ben from behind, but he simply draws Logos and stabs it in the chest, killing it.
Ben: I've been meaning to ask, why do you want to kill Ruby Rose so bad?
Neo looks at Ben in shock and looks away from him.
Ben: You can tell me, little one. I won't bite.
Neo took something out of her pocket and showed Ben a picture of her and Roman Torchwick.
Ben: Roman Torchwick... The reason you want the girl dead is because of his death.
Neo nodded.
Ben: You're a fool.
Neo looks at him giving an 'excuse me' look.
Ben: Do you seriously think that Ruby is the cause of it? Tell me this, Neopolitan. What did Cinder say to you when you were at Mistral?
Neo had no idea that Ben knows her thoughts.
Ben: That shady bitch is the one who lied to you... I've been keeping my eye on everything... know every move, every thought... and you really didn't have a clue for the death of your loved one, didn't you?
Neo's eyes widen about Ben's explanation. She shook her head, denying him and changes into Rex, showing him.
Ben: He's down here, too?
Neo changes back, nodding at Ben.
Ben: I see... but still, you can deny all you want, but it's all true in my thoughts. Actually, I've got just an idea you want to hear.
Neo grins evilly.
Nighttime in the Origami Acre. A small origami bird is seen landing in the windowsill of Jaune's home. A tall torch in the background can be seen lighting the lantern that serves as the "sun". Light begins to illuminate the sky and turns it to day. Team RWBY, CRMS, REBL, and Glimmer can all be seen sleeping on mats in the living room, while Jaune is asleep in his own bed. Ruby's eyes are open as she stares at the chest with Crescent Rose in it.
Rex: Rosebud... are you okay?
Ruby: Rex, I... I'm fine.
Rex: You don't look fine to me. (Grabs her hand) Ruby, if anything, you can always talk with me. About anything. I'm here for you.
Ruby: It's complicated... (Sighs) You wouldn't understand...
