Due to a small miscalculation on my part that was most likely hindered to how excited I was, it occurred to me just now that Lia and I are two individuals with an incredible height difference.

While I can adjust her clothes on myself, I watch my best friend come out of the stall with an awkward expression on her face.

While Lia is slimmer than me, she has a lot of height on me so my pants are tightly curled high on her calf, while my blouse manages to cover her torso, it still continues to portray how uncomfortable it may be because it continues to rise up with the slightest of movement.

Meanwhile, I feel like a child who managed to get in the closet of her older sister. The long, loose pyjama top my best friend was wearing is not exactly established for any type of restaurant but oh well. It was cute at least.

The long sleeves are cuffed all the way up to my elbows while the leggings fit better, yet there still contains excess fabric that sinks into my shoes.

Yes, it was crucial we swapped clothing. Dahlia was six foot and anyone could recognize her if they had previously made her acquaintance.

Especially my cousin who had a knack for paying close attention to detail.

"It's better than nothing." I attempted to console with a weak look. I can imagine this is not how she wished to spend her night, however she was a crucial part of my plan.

If by some unfortunate omen Jeremy discovered us here, Dahlia's less chaotic aura would help divert some of the disdain off of Callum and I.

Jeremy has a soft spot for Dahlia, to be fair all of us do.

While my brother may be Jeremy's best friend, Dahlia had always been sort of an older sister to Jeremy.

Before he turned into a boring wall, he used to go around asking her opinion on stuff. Sticking to her side as much as her own brothers do.

It always astonished me because I could barely even stand Niko most of the time.

But I suppose the two of them have a more harmonious relationship than my brother and I do.

Hopefully Dahlia being here is going to lessen the consequences.

Although it pains me to use my best friend like this, she shall thank me for the wonderful memories we are about to make.

Clasping my hands together like I am in urgency, I turn my attention back towards the counter as I dig into the little bag I bought. Filled with mountains of supplies to help us hide our appearances.

Reaching into my bag, I pull out a scarf for her to wrap around her head in order to conceal the bunches of hair that anyone could recognize her from.

Watching as she reluctantly stares at the item in my hand, hesitancy etching her face as she looks moments away from running out.

"Come on." I coax gently, trying not to sound like someone peer pressuring a kid into smoke. "It'll be fun, plus when was the last time Jeremy went on a date?"

"This is an invasion of privacy, Sofia." She murmurs out, her eyes darting around the area in anxiousness.

"You've been down all week." Bargaining with a persuasive edge to my tone. "Let this take your mind off of things. I swear he won't catch us."

"It's not him catching us I'm worried about. It's us pushing his boundaries."

A scoff spills from my lips. "Both him, Niko, Callum, and Ana have countlessly spied on me when I have gone on dates."

Her lips threaten to twitch up in a smile at my tone. "I doubt he went because he wanted too."

My chin lifts and I tilt my head at her. "It was still an invasion of privacy. Karma's a bitch. Plus there's a hole in my heart from how they ruined my evening, so do your best friend a favour to patch up her heart."

"What heart?" She murmurs out with a small smirk."

"That's the spirit!" Feigning ignorance to the insult she just hurled my way as I stepped away from the counter. Unfolding the scarf as I drape it around the thick, coily locks of her hair. "Man this would be easier if you didn't have this much hair."

"Jealous?"

Honestly, maybe a little. As much as I love my Mother and Father, their hair genes did very little in comparison to Aunt Stella.

My hands gently adjust coils of her hair, pushing them back into hiding as I run my hands over my creation, satisfied with the results. "Beautiful." I proudly speak while hiking my hands up onto my hips.

"How is this supposed to not look suspicious? The employees are going to think we are preparing to rob this place." Her eyes flit from one place to another as if she is anxious about getting caught.

I click my tongue. "First of all we're not committing a crime. Also, that is where you are wrong my lovely friend, we are simply just three innocent kids looking out for a friend. And Callum paid the manager to let them know we're no threat." I mutter the last bit under my breath with a friendly smile.

Lia's brows furrow. "Was that necessary?"

My only answer is a weak shrug as I adjust the circle rimmed hat I put on in order to hide the upper half of my face, mainly my eyes. "Who knows, but better safe than sorry, am I right?"

Hesitancy still eats up at Lias expression as she stares at her reflection in the mirror. "I look like a grandma on vacation in Ithaca."

"Please, I look like someone's grandma before they went crazy." I scoff out. "Plus the whole point is to keep attention away from us.

She turns her head towards me and narrows her glare. "This is going to do the opposite."

A small scoff escapes me as I wave my hand. "Fine, the objective is to make sure Jere doesn't recognize us, and I doubt he will."
