  Michael

I arose from the darkness, refreshed wasn't even a word. I felt for the first time in love but this time for real. But the thing is, vampires usually don't dream when they sleep. This morning, I dreamt of something beautiful. It would seemed like I was getting ready for some company soon but I didn't know what to expect. But I needed answers so I decided that I would get ready and get to Shelley's house tonight as the moon bared the light on the street. After I ate, I transformed into a bat and flew out the window.

I transformed back into my human form and walked to Shelley's house where her father gloomed and apparently started to grieve over his human daughter. I believe it was betrayal if you asked me. Shelley has been sleeping in my coffin for a day but I needed answers. Her blood was different, felt like lava fire seeping down my throat. It gave me a feeling I never felt before and I felt like a monster just by trying to save her life. In a vampire's world of drinking human blood was that it's so sensitive to how much we could drink in order to live while some like who are new and just reborn, they struggle with the level of trying to survive by almost draining damn near every human they smell.ed.I pushed opened the gate and almost sensed a presence behind me.

"Why are you following me Tatiana?" I said as I turned around and she appeared in front of me. "Are you fucking crazy? What could have possessed you to let her feed off you?" She nearly screamed. "Tatiana, we been through boo, why can't you see that? And why aren't you out doing your job. Shouldn't you be escorting or something?" I asked her waiting for her to disappear. "We aren't getting back together, I know who I am to be destined with." I spoke getting ready to turn my back but she stopped me.

"I came to tell you, that Dash and Valicity are teaming up against you. So I'm trying to protect you." She said. I turned around very slowly, "When have you ever protected me? When she killed me, you were no where near. Lost and afraid. So fuck your protection." I said coldly as she hissed at me and then she disappeared into the darkness. I could have cared less about them teaming up, now I had to get Shelley trained to protect herself. To become invisible.

I knocked on the door after I landed the all six steps. I didn't want to kill her father because I needed to put him to work. What's the problem with Shelley, my wife. And why was her blood liquid fire like that?

After a moment he opened the door, face and eyes blood shot red. He smelled like old whiskey and you could tell he wasn't himself. Old man ain't even shaved.

"What the hell you want? You got what you wanted didn't you?" He said smartly. As I held my composure, I walked myself inside the door as he backed up. I closed the door and locked. "Now, now. We not going to make anything more painful or deathly unpleasant are we? I just come for answers. May I sit, I would have asked to come in but I imagined you testing me by slamming the door in my face. That's not what we need." I said.

He gulped and then he heads off to the living room and plops on the couch. On the table sat books and papers that were later every where with a small hint of blood pressed on a paper with words in curse.

"What's all this? You studying or something?" He said as I slowly read upside down. The paper was an awaken spell. I sensed it had something to deal with why I arose from the dead.

"I walked in here and everything was like this. I gave these to her to read not to awaken anyone.  She was curious about this house and those freakin voices. But Shelley is just living in human skin. She's not as human as ya'll blood suckers believe." He said taking a small shot to the head. I felt like I didn't want to waste time any longer. I was on a time limit before my bride woke up and I needed to know..everything!

"Here's the deal I need you to tell me what's going on. Why did I see her mother?" I spoke standing on edge but keeping my voice stern.

"That probably was the moment when she thought of her mother or maybe her long distance aunt. My wife's sister." He said. I almost got confused as he continued. "My wife is the recipient of the vampiric blood line. Her blood is in my daughter's veins. When she was born she had the symptoms. When she got angry, small fangs would peel through her gums when she was growing. We tried to keep it contained by feeding her animal blood." He said.

"But what's with the psychic power, that telekinesis that went on in your office? What was that." He paused and took a shot. He gets up and reaches in the drawer for something and then slides it across the table. "Go here and ask for Maylinda. She will tell you what you need to know. I have to be prepared for when my daughter finds out everything more. I lied about more than just what I said at the office. Maylinda is her mother not my wife's'.

Those words felt like a slap in the face. How can you keep secrets like that unless you wanted to keep your family. Then again, how long should Shelley have to suffer just to find out what she is now more than ever. I stood up with my mind swirling like the wind. "So what's next, you gonna drink yourself to death now? I get that you wanted to protect your daughter but she will need more than something that will take her mind off things and alcohol isn't one of them. You shouldn't drink like that. She's going to need you sober." I spoke as I turned to leave, I looked back at him. "She's going to need her father alive and well until the end." I said. Speaking of whatever life had in store for him. Shelley only had him, nobody else. I needed to motivate him because if something happened to him, Shelley won't be Shelley. Her father was human after all.
