(Y/n and Jinx aren't really in this chapter until like the final paragraph. If you've seen the show, it is what happens there. Also look at the art on top and at the bottom for some cool stuff I found.)

Heimerdinger is walking through a dark alley as people are fighting in another. It had been years since he had last visited this side of Piltover. Even if it's its own thing, or thats what the ones who live here say, it's still a part of the city. Under a cloak to hide his identity the Yordle continues on his way as people push past him. No one recognizes him and just treats him like they would any other Yordle. The Professor even walks by a man begging in the street with clear signs of horrid shimmer damage. The man holds out his hand almost lunging at Heimerdinger making him step back a little.

He turns away and slowly walks to another alley where he sits down on a pile of boxes that have been thrown out. Nearby there is a little crack of light from a street lamp and it's shining down a little bit on a kid nearby. Heimerdinger watches as the kid, a little girl in ragged clothes and paler skin, spots him. The little girl walks over to him and puts something in his hand. Heimerdinger is confused at first as he sees some bolts and other little scraps of metal. The Professor looks at the little girl and shakes the pieces.

Heimerdinger: Ooh.

He makes a fist and blows into it as he shakes it, opening his hand to show her a little spinning top made of the pieces he gave her. The little girl looks at it confused but the Professor holds it up and makes it spin on his hand.

Heimerdinger: Like this.

The little girl is amazed by it but before she can do anything else her mother or grandmother pulls her away. The old Yordle sighs and in the morning he walks back toward the bridge that separates the areas. On the under side is where his boat was and just as he's about to undo it there's a glowing green light nearby. The green glowing light flashes on and off now getting his attention as it draws him in closer. Heimerdinger walks over to where it was coming from and a moment later stumbles upon Ekko's hoverboard. The old Professor is amazed by its design and look.

Heimerdinger: ingenious... Though these blades seem improperly pitched.

He spins the blades that are in the wheel as a voice comes up from behind.

Ekko: You're wrong.

The old Professor turns around to find the leader of the Firelights laid up against the bridge with his hand on his side. He lets out a cough but continues to explain why the Professor is wrong. It's his speaking that turned Heimerdinger to him to find that the boy is hurt. Not that he'd know it is due to the bridge stuff, not that he even knew about that either.

Ekko: It's made for the fissures. The air is denser.

The closer Heimerdinger looks, the closer he can see that he had been burned pretty good over portions of his body. The left shoulder, right and left upper bicep, and across his torso. Luckily Y/n was trying to make him suffer so the heat was turned down from it's higher levels and then the grenade went off right after he got him in the bear hug, making them go different directions. Had it not been for Y/n's sadistic mind, Ekko would've been burned to death instead of the minor ones he got.

Heimerdinger: Are you alright, lad? You're burned pretty badly.

Ekko: (Coughs) I'm fine. I...

The white haired boy starts to breathe heavy and coughs more. Even though he's still alive and didn't get burned as badly as he could've, he's in a lot of pain. The ointment he had in his bag, a thing he kept with him after encountering Y/n so many times, was all that relieved the pain and it kept it from getting infected.
