Chapter Twenty: Paint the Town Blue (Pt.2)

Quick question: Would you guys like me to try writing more proper like in a real book. "And it was great," said Jinx with elation as she felt the warm hands of her partner caress her face. I'd really start in another book but I wouldn't be against it. I do this style, my main style, more like scripts.

A telescope can be seen watching the Enforcers from a little far away as Ambessa's men are also around. Words are being spoken through an announcement system for more people to hear as Rictus walks around. Some Zaunties are standing by a wall in a line as they wait to pass through the checkpoint. Some are wearing hats, others are wearing jewlery, and all of them are trying to avoid Rictus's gaze. One of the guys is wearing a beanie and looks at the tall man for a moment, looking back as Rictus passes him. The big man stops momentarily before quickly turning back, grabbing him by the throat and holding pulling him out of the line. Rictus throws him against the chainlink fence.

He grabs the same guy and puts him a headlock before pulling off his beanie and showing that the guy has blue hair. Rictus lifts up his arm and finds a small crescent moon tattooed upon it in the middle of his wrist. Zaunites in line look at the man with a kid wanting to go over to him, but is ultimately stopped by their parent. Rictus looks at the rest of the Zaunites in line as they stare. One in line is a bat looking dude who looks similar to Scar from the Firelights, being a relative of him.

Rictus: You have Jinx and The Butcher to thank for this. They are not your friends. They are not your champions. They hide while you suffer. And yet you refuse to hand them over.

The people look at Rictus and the Enforcers nearby as unrest starts to stir within the crowded line. Before anything else can be said, the announcement system stops saying what it'd been saying earlier. It cuts out briefly, making a scratching sound in the system. Under the speaker system there's a little gear that was placed that made it slowly stop spinning. The noise dies a quick death but is soon filled by the sound of fireworks going off in the distance as a little figure steps on a pedal. Rock music plays as clouds of pink, blue, green, yellow, etc. go off behind Isha, getting the attention of everyone. Behind her, painted on the wall, is a monkey's smile in pink. A little further to the left is a giant flame painted in blue paint.

Mini bombs on little parachute umbrellas float down with the same style that Jinx made during her explosive days... a couple months ago. They've got a bunch of little faces on them with jaws and a clicking timer. All quickly fall around Rictus as he lets go of the guy and shields his head to keep himself from being hit, thinking it was an attack. Smoke comes out instead that is pink and blue, lighting up the area. This signals the rest of the Zaunites to act with the dude who looks like Scar to shout.

Scar's Cousin: Let's go!

They all attack the outpost and shove past Enforcers using the lack of sight to their advantage. Isha runs off and unfortunately the same blue haired guy gets caught by Rictus all over again, having him step on his head to hold him down. His armor now coated in purple smoke that had also appeared, Rictus looks up at the area where Isha had been. He couldn't see her face but is sure that it was Jinx or Jinx related.

Rictus: Jinx.

Soon after the attack, photos were taken of the grenades and of the area around them as well as the place the fireworks were started. Caitlyn, along with Maddie who's in the room with her, look over them all. Caitlyn is the one mainly doing it but Maddie is still with her, helping her with this matter despite not being as driven. The young Kiramman looks over the image of a "Jinx" bomb that wasn't taken more than a few hours ago. To the young woman, this is strange as Jinx hadn't popped up in months.

Caitlyn: You're right. It's hers. I'd recognize it anywhere.

On a wall in front of her she has a wanted poster each of Y/n and Jinx tacked to a the wall along with red yarn. A magnifying glass is pointed at the poster as she herself looks over the photos. It shook her slightly knowing that she could be showing up again alongside Y/n. The two who have been tormenting her mind even while gone. The sooner she gets to them the sooner it's all over.
