There used to be a high bounty target feared across the world. No one knows who first gave it its name, but it was known as-

The Mobile Fortress Destroyer.

Thanks to Satou Kazuma's brilliant command, the adventurers took down that infamous bounty target not too long ago.

And right now, to collect the well-earned bounty reward, Kazuma had come to the Adventurer's Guild.

But-

"Adventurer Satou Kazuma! You're under suspicion of committing subversion of the nation! Please come along with us!"

The situation took a very weird turn.

"Eh... May I ask who you are? Or rather, what does 'subversion of the nation' mean? I just came here to collect my payout."

Kazuma, caught off guard, stared at the woman before him.

The once-lively guild had fallen into absolute silence.

"I'm a prosecutor of the Kingdom, Sena," the woman answered, her voice cold and unwavering. "Subversion of the nation means committing an act that undermines the authority of the kingdom. We suspect you of being either a terrorist or an agent of the Demon King's army."

She had long dark brown hair, sharp eyes, and an aura of authority that gave off the impression of an intelligent secretary.

The moment she finished speaking, Aqua immediately shouted:

"Ehh?! Hey, Kazuma, what trouble did you stir up this time?! What crimes did you commit while I wasn't looking?! Apologize right now! I'll apologize with you, so do it quick!"

"Are you an idiot?! There's no way I would commit such crimes! In the first place, we spend most of our time together! You would know if I did anything!"

As Kazuma shouted at Aqua, Megumin stepped in with her usual bluntness.

"Wait a minute, did you get the wrong person? Kazuma does commit minor infractions like sexual harassment from time to time, but he doesn't have the guts to commit such a major crime."

"Are you helping me or looking for a fight?!"

As Kazuma snapped at Megumin, Darkness followed up-

"Yeah, I don't think this man would commit such a serious crime. If he had the guts, he'd do more than just ogle me with creepy eyes when I walk around the house in skimpy attire. He's a loser who doesn't even dare attempt a night raid."

"Wh-Who's looking at you?! Aren't you a bit too self-conscious? Don't get conceited just because you have a sexy body! I have the right to choose, alright?!"

Darkness's face turned bright red.

Esora, having enough of this ridiculous exchange, hissed under her breath, "You guys aren't helping...!"

She then turned her attention back to the prosecutor.

"And you need to be more specific, Prosecutor. Why do you think Kazuma is involved with the Demon King's army?"

Sena, unfazed by the chaos, stated coldly:

"Teleporting the core of the Destroyer-Coronatite-was done under that man's instruction. And the place the ore was teleported to was the mansion of the town's lord."

A heavy silence filled the guild.

Kazuma paled.

Esora's eyes widened.
