3rd Pov.

"We fight until one party surrenders. Just try to make me say 'I can't fight anymore,' or 'Please stop hitting me'!' If you can do that, I'll marry you or follow you anywhere!"

Darkness led the group to the dojo, standing at its center with a determined gleam in her eyes. She tossed a wooden sword to Walther.

Walther caught it easily, testing the weight before turning to Darkness with a troubled expression.

"Um, Lady Lalatina, I'm a knight. Even if this is just training, I can't point a sword at a lady..."

Darkness frowned, clearly displeased.

"What a gutless fellow. Kazuma, who's standing right there, claims to be a gender equality advocate. He even announced that he would not hesitate to dropkick a woman. You should learn from him."

Walther turned to look at Kazuma.

The young Adventurer felt the weight of his gaze. It was painful.

'Damn it, Darkness! Don't drag me into this!'

Walther sighed, then seemed to make up his mind.

"...I understand. To be honest, my father forced me to come, and I had planned to reject the marriage... But after meeting you, I changed my mind."

Darkness's eyes widened slightly, and Esora tilted her head in curiosity.

Walther continued, smiling slightly.

"You're different from the other daughters of nobility. As expected of the only daughter of the national chief adviser, you have a bold personality, yet you get embarrassed by your own words. That's...cute."

Darkness's face flushed slightly, though whether it was from embarrassment or anticipation was unclear.

"You're straightforward, not haughty, and you treat your butler as an equal. I find that intriguing..."

Then, with a sharp breath, he raised his wooden sword.

"Prepare yourself, Lady Lalatina!"

With that declaration, he lunged forward.

The quick slash disarmed Darkness immediately, her wooden sword flying from her grip as his strike landed cleanly on her shoulder.

Seeing his attack succeed, Walther sighed in relief, believing he had won.

But then...

Darkness grinned.

She bent down, picked up her wooden sword, and rolled her shoulder.

"Very good. Next. Come at me!"

Thirty minutes passed.

"Enough! The match is obviously over! Why aren't you giving up?!"

Despite clearly having the upper hand, Walther sounded as if he were the one being pushed into a corner.

He had landed multiple hits on Darkness, leaving her bruised and battered. But despite being out of breath, she was still standing—her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Her flushed cheeks were slick with sweat as she yelled:

"What's the matter? Don't be shy—attack with everything you've got! Show me your determination to persevere to the end!"

Walther stared at her, then suddenly let out a long breath.

Then, with a resigned sigh, he let his wooden sword fall to the ground.
