Ponyboy huffed out a breath of air, expressing the tiredness he received from chasing around the group of kids. Dallas breathed a "let's go" when he saw that there was nobody else in the field left to chase.
"Where are we goin' Dal?" johnny asked, kicking down the weeds along the way. "I don't mean to sound pushy or nothin' but um, I'm pretty hungry. Maybe we can stop for some food?"
"Sounds like a plan to me," dallas agreed. His eyes swung over to Ponyboy who was watching each step in front of him. "Pony, how about you? You wanna catch a bite with me and Johnny?"
"I don't know Dal, I mean (Y/N)'s home alone right now an—"
"I'm sure she can take care of herself man," dallas interjected nonchalantly. "come hang out with the boys for the night. (Y/N) will be fine."
"I guess you're right," ponyboy responded, stuffing his hands into his jean pockets. "alright, you caught me, I'm in."

Most people would be scared about being home alone, but not you. You loved being home alone. The best feeling in the world was to have the entire house to yourself. You could eat whatever you wanted in the fridge and the TV was argument-free. So far, you knew that Sodapop was off at the DX working and Darrel was out working also. Ponyboy was out causing ruckus with Dallas and Johnny, which left the house to yourself.
The glorious noise of your favorite shows theme song sounded off the TV. You were placed in a comfortable position on the couch with a large bowl of popcorn set right in front of you. As the theme song came to an end, you dug right into the popcorn. When commercial came, thirst overcame you and you needed water.
You get off the couch and head into the kitchen. You grab a cup and fill it up with water in the sink. As you gulped down the refreshing water, the squeakiness of the front door was heard, notifying you that somebody was home. You were a tad bummed out that you weren't able to spend as much time home alone than you hoped for.
Placing the cup down on the counter, you poke your head out from behind the wall to greet one of your brothers, only to see that the person who had entered was an intruder. The first red flag was that he was a complete stranger, you've never seen him in your life. Second danger, he had a full bag hung over his shoulder. He was a robber.
You remained quiet and sneakily tip-toed to an area of where he wasn't. It was time for the fear to creep up on you about being home alone. The robber turned the TV off first thing. Your heart skipped a beat as you saw the shadow of the trespasser making his way toward the kitchen. Quickly, you shuffled your way out of the kitchen and back into the living room.
