Doctor's P.O.V.
***
I sat under the console as I was reading a book by Henry Van Dyke. I began to hear foot steps above me and sighed as the Tardis got angry then calmed down.
What did she do this time? I thought as for some reason I knew it was Eleanor that had done something.
I sighed quietly as I thought about Eleanor. Today was the day I had to leave her.. I knew I didn't want to but I also knew that if I didn't she would get killed. There was no doubt about it. I knew she would.
I heard her talk to the Tardis and I chuckled quietly. I acted as if I was reading my book as I heard footsteps come closer to me.
I looked up at her and smiled.
"Have a nice swim?" I asked, taking my glasses off before I shut the book.
"Yes I did actually. Whatcha readin'?" She asked, her Scottish accent making it's way through. I smiled, thinking of how much she sounds like Amelia and I stood up, placing the book on the floor of the console room before walking over to her.
"Sometimes you sound so much like your mother." I said as I wrapped my arm around her waist. She giggled as I looked down at her and she rested her arms on my shoulders as I leant down to kiss her.
I pulled away and smiled before placing my face in the crook of her neck, nuzzling her. She giggled, making me laugh and pull my face from her neck then place a kiss on her forehead.
I patted her head before walking up the stairs to the console and pressing a few buttons that made the Tardis fly silently.
I heard Eleanor walk beside me and take the screen with her as she walked to the other side of the console. My eye widened as she looked at the screen so I grabbed the side of the screen, trying to take it away from her but she smacked the back of my hand hard.
I flinched and pulled it back, running the back of my hand, pouting.
"Blasted Ponds and their smacks.." I said quietly, causing her to smile and shake her head.
She turned her attention back to the screen and raised an eyebrow. Great..
"Doctor? Why are we here?" I huffed and wrapped my arm around her waist as I pulled her towards the Tardis doors.
"I figured we could visit Amy and Rory. It's been a while, yeah?" I said quickly. I smiled to hide the sadness but she knew I was lying.. Darned eyes.
"Doctor. It has been a while, yes but I know that's not the reason we're here. Now. Why are we here?"
I knew I shouldn't just ignore her question but if I couldn't get her inside the house then I couldn't leave. I just kissed her forehead and grabbed her hand as we began walking towards the house.
I knocked on the door and ignored her gaze. She sighed and sat her head on my shoulder as we waited. The door opened and she lifted her off my shoulder.
"Oh! Eleanor and The Doctor! What a pleasant surprise! It's been a while." She wrapped Eleanor and I in a warm hug. As she pulled away she invited us in and I smiled, patting her back lightly. I looked over at Eleanor and sighed. I placed my hand on the small of her back and she looked up at me with a small smile.
"I need to have a private talk with Amy. Could you give us some privacy please?" She nodded and walked over to Xavier giving him a light hug before sitting down beside him as he began talking about something. I smiled and looked at Amy, pulling her towards the wall lightly, creating more space between Eleanor and I to make sure she wasn't listening.
