2 Months Later
"Today we have a special guest on the Ellen show, someone we all know and love, 19 year old dynamic artist hailing from London. Please welcome to the stage, Paige Hernandez!"
I smiled walking onto the stage, and hug the blond woman before taking my seat to start the interview.
"Hey, it's great to be here, Ellen, how are you?"
Ellen laughs, "I think I'm supposed to be the one asking questions, love. How are you?"
"I'm fine, just really touring with Fifth Harmony and keeping up with my music and whatnot."
"We known you've released a single, one that won't be on your album. It's called Should Have Known. Can you tell us the story behind this song and the sexy video that you put out to go with it?"
I giggle, "Well, first of all, Justin approved of it. And second, it is a song about betrayal and shock. But then realizing in the end that you should have expected it all along."
"Was it written for anyone in particular?"
"It was. It was written for an ex of mine, who recently did something incredibly shady relationship wise, and I should have expected her to do something like that, honestly." I shook my head.
Ellen nods, "Well, you're no doubt over this ex, correct?"
I paused, "Um... it hurts, but that was expected as well. That's all that ever happened in our relationship." I was mainly overstating the issues but still.
"How is your relationship with Justin Bieber?"
"I can probably say Justin is one of the best things that has happened to me so far, in my life, he is a prince among men."
"Aww, why don't we show a little throwback of your relationship over the
years, no?"
Ellen points to the screen and plays a series of pap photos, instagram pics, and candids of Justin and I over the past few years, smiling, laughing and being just together in general. Once it ended, the fans erupted in cheering.
"Alright, alright, I totally ship them. But we do have a very special addition to the show. They're here to perform and surprise Paige as well. Please welcome Lauren Jauregui!"
Really?
I watch in a mixture of awe, horror, and disgust as Lauren makes her way onto the stage and sits next to me. She looks different if that's even possible, her eyes a darker shade of green than normal. She's dyed her hair black again, and she has a definite tan, no doubt from finishing our last few shows in Africa. Next stop will be Australia, then China, but Ellen requested my special presence for a day. That meant I was flying to Australia tonight, hopefully. But Lauren would be making the trip back with me. My management would be hearing from me about this.
I turn my face slightly away from her and try to hide my discomfort.
"Hi, Paige." She says, forcing me to speak to her. I'd gone the past 2 months completely ignoring her and focusing on rebuilding my relationship with the other girls.
I turned and made the mistake of looking into her eyes, "Hi..."
"Well, you two look quite smitten." Ellen interrupts and I snap my head away from Lo, who smiles shyly.
Since when did I call her by a nickname? Her name is Lauren."We just haven't seen each other." I quickly explain.
"You are on tour together, how can you not?"
