Loving you is hard,
But calling you is harder.

I scribbled lyrics in my notebook, hoping to find some type of strength. I knew as soon as I answered my phone the label would be up my ass about releasing something new, or gaining fans or publicity. But little did they know that this trial was going to literally put me and the girls in the spotlight for a very long time. But the words of my song was true, I'd already called Dinah and Allyson with the news, they were on their way back to L.A. now to testify and get ready for the trial next week, but something deep inside me was preventing me from calling Lauren.

Don't be stubborn baby,
Call me first,
Wait any longer and the drama gets worse.

Sighing, I picked up the phone and dialed her number, "Hello?"
I was surprised. The phone barely even began to ring before shed answered.
"Lauren, um... I was told that you need to come to Los Angeles to-"
"I know, Dinah Jane told me already. I was packing when you called." Her voice was so quiet. I literally wanted to reach through the phone and hug her.
"Paige? That fight we had was-"
"Not over the phone, babe. I missed you way too much and I feel way too guilty to let us have this discussion from 3,000 miles away, okay?"
"Oh my god, I love you," she breathed, "I need you... Can you sing to me?"
I'd never heard her sound so vulnerable ever, so of course I agreed, "What song?"
"Does it matter?"
"Alright," I chuckled and began to sing one of my favorite songs:

Se o amor nos deixar
A terra desabar
E o tempo nos mudar
Irei estar sempre aqui

"I hope you know I understood barely any of that," Lauren laughed, "I don't speak Portuguese."
I giggled, "But I do. He's saying that no matter where he goes, no matter what happens, his love will always be there for her."
"That's sweet; I have to go get Anthony ready for this flight. I love you?"
"I love you, too."
I hung up, feeling a tiny bit more hopeful about the state of our relationship.

-The Next Day-
I arrived at the airport way before anyone else, and very slowly each girl arrived. First it was Ally and Dinah, wrapping me into huge embraces. Then finally, hours later Lauren and Anthony. She looked flawless as always with no make up on and her hair set in curls. She had on a The 1975 shirt and jeggings, and I took notice of the fact that she was wearing my sneakers and leather jacket. It was adorable, but the bruise on her face that she tried to cover up killed the vibe.
I reached out and ran my finger over it, "You really should beat up the person who did that." I attempted to joke. Dinah and Ally watched on, sharing awkward glances, "Hey, we're gonna take Anthony and go home so y'all can talk." Ally announced finally.
After they disappeared Lauren turned to me, "I'd kick her ass into next year, but I'd regret it after. And I know she's sorry." She smiled softly, placing her hand over mine.
I pulled her in for a hug, "I will never let myself get that angry again, ever." I whispered.
"I know, I believe you and I trust you more than you know."
I paused, "When did we get so sappy and sentimental? It's grossing me out."
"Yeah, me too," she laughed, "but I did miss you."
"Damé un beso?" I asked once we pulled away from our hug. She agreed leaning forward a tiny bit and I did the same, closing the gap.
"So, apparently it's just us today. Where do you wanna go?"
I shrugged, "We could go shopping. My management has been killing me for photo ops and new songs," I explained.
She nodded,"Then shopping it is, because we need paparazzi to snap pictures and let the world know we're okay."
I pointed at the paps in the corner, joining our hands, "Don't think that'll be a problem."
