Chapter 19:What is real and what is fake

As Kumagawa woke up he felt a pair of arms around him. Has someone decided to try killing him in his sleep already?

Yuni:Mmm...Just five more minutes.

Ah, no. It seems it's something much more wholesome, which was unusual for him.

Yuni:The Commander is so warm...So firm...So confortable...

Now, what was Kumagawa supposed to do now? He never had to deal with such a situation before.

If it was the old Kumagawa Misogi, he'd have laughed at the notion that anyone could show even a bit of affection to him. Forget about someone refusing to stop hugging him.

The old Kumagawa Misogi would have probably screwed them after having his laugh as well. He was a wild child like that in the past.

Anis:What's going on here?

Marian:Commander! Can you breath?

Unlike Anis who was bewildered by the sight before her, Marian was worried. After all, this situation could be potentially dangerous.

Somewhere in the time frame they were asleep Yuni ended up searching for a source of warmth among the cold ruins they made camp in. The source of warmth she found ended up being Kumagawa himself.

And now, she refused to let him go. Which was where Marian's worry stemmed from.

Aside from their brains, Nikkes aren't truly organic. As an effect of that, Nikkes were a lot stronger than humans.

The fact is that their weapons pack much more of a punch than regular weapons, so that they may destroy Raptures. If a human was to fire a Nikke's weapon, they might end up crippled for life.

As such, Marian's worry was logical. Yuni's hug might very well end up suffocatimg a normal person to death.

Well, Marian didn't think Yuni had any intention of killing Kumagawa. But she also didn't think Yuni had much of self control.

Marian:Come on, Yuni. Please gently let go of the Commander.

Yuni:I don't wanna!

Kumagawa:[Haha, it's fine. It's fine. You're supposed to indulge into your desires in such times of peace, right? But if Marian-chan is so worried...You can join in as well!]

Marian:Eh!?

Of course, Kumagawa was in no shape or form a normal human being. But he had gave them the impression that he was.

A normal human that was unaware of pretty much anything that had to do with the Ark, the very settlement of every last living human. A normal human that could notice a laser being shot their way before his very Nikkes could and react in time. A normal human that could keep a calm mind while being assaulted and plan contermeasures. A normal human that can break his fingers and harm himself with a smile on his face, having no problem walking after severe blood loss.

Wow...He really sucks at pretending to he a normal human, doesn't he? How hasn't he been found out yet?

Anis:You really have no shame at all...Will someone answer my question already?

Neon:Apparently, Yuni thinks that Master does for a real nice matress.

Rapi:...Get up, we have to move out.

Rapi got right to the point, not hesitating for one moment. It was hard to say if that was just how she was, or that she developed such an unimpressed attitude from dealing with Kumagawa on a daily basis.

Yuni:Aww...Come on...Just a few more minutes...

Instead of letting go, Yuni held on tighter to Kumagawa. She looked like a little girl unwillig to part with her favorite teddybear.
