Prolouge

Abby was only 5 years old when it happened. Her parents were taking her to the doctor. It was late at night and they were driving down an empty road.

All of a sudden, a car sped around the corner and rammed into the front of the car. Abby unbuckled her seat belt and climbed through the wreckage to check on her parents.

Their bodies were lifeless, but Abby didn't cry. She climbed out of the wreckage and ran home. She took all that she needed to survive and went deep into the woods.

She had heard rumors of the monsters who took children who lost their parents away, so she knew she had to be brave. The animals of the forest were her friends, but they wouldn't let anyone in the forest but her. As the mist of the hidden forest surrounded her, she knew she was safe.
