//Marisa//

"Because she killed our mother." Jude said in a frigid tone.

My hands instantly went to my mouth. I looked at Lucy who shrugged her shoulders. It was one of those times where I either be the dumb heroine and say something or the smart heroine and say nothing. I went with my second choice. I looked around at all of their faces. Penny looked scared but not to disturbed, Simon and Daniel glowered at Jude ,while Ryan and Gale looked like they would actually kill Lucy at the moment. The tension was so thick that you could cut it with a knife and not put it back together.

I swallowed and felt so awkward at the moment. Not to mention my hangover has not went away yet and I was wearing my underwear. I slowly got off the couch.

"Well while you guys handle this. I'll be-" I pointed to the door they all turned they're angry faces too me. So I knew I shouldn't have said anything.

"No you're staying here Marisa. You wanted to know what happened now you do so sit your pretty little ass back down." Jude yelled at me. I nearly jumped out of my skin. His voice boomed off the walls.

"O-okay just c-calm the fuck down." I reasoned with him but quietly I sat my pretty little ass down as Jude put it.

"Now you're going to listen to this story you hear me. Lucy sit your ass up in that chair and act like you care because if I could I would certainly k-" Simon cut him off.
"Jude close your mouth right now or you won't have a tongue." Simon's tone was crisp and commanding. Jude shut up.

Shit Simon was angry too and he seemed like the nice guy. I looked over at Gale who mouthed 'Sorry' to me. I glared at him then touched my forehead. I needed some clothes, maybe 10 Tylenol and a bottle of 1800. I heard Gale chuckle a bit, of course he read my thoughts. I sighed and looked up.

"Can we get this over with Jude?" I asked him. He glared at me. His eyes had gone all red again. Shit how do I keep pissing people off.

"Fine, quick version she set our house on fire when she was thirteen. She knew what she was doing and yet regret nothing. She thought all of us would be in the house but we were not. Our mother burned to death in that fire and our father has been hospitalized ever since, every time one of us visits him he remembers our mother and he starts screaming bloody murder." As Jude spoke he seemed to get angry again. I looked at Lucy who was just sitting there and Penny was emotionless and quiet like a doll.

"Our mother was close to all of us especially Gale and Jude they were her favorites. She never went a day without loving us but she just loved them more." Lucy spoke up. "That's not true Lucy. She loved us all. " Simon said from his position by the bookcase. He seemed angry still.

"It's best to watch what you say Lucy." Gale said. He was playing with a strand of Penny's hair but she didn't seem to care. She sat like a doll.

"Shut up Gale you always knew what a mother's love was. You practically bathe in mother's love. Always hanging around those older woman like they'll be your next mommy. Well guess what Gale grow the fuck up. She will never be back and no o-" Jude was at her in a second and it took Daniel and Simon to get him off her.

"I try so hard not to kill you Lucy but you are so fucked in the head that it's hard not too. Mom loved each of us equally. You are just too fucked to notice." He was yelling as Simon and Daniel pulled him back to his seat next to me. I notice he had the beginning of golden tears in his eyes. I wondered if that myth was true about vampire's tears being magic sine they rarely cried.

"Jude you need to calm down. You need rest" Simon said, he looked back at Ryan."Could you take him to his room?" He asked him. I got off the arm rest.

"I'll take him." I volunteered.
"Are you sure?" Simon questioned me. I nodded my head and looked down at Jude.
"Come on." I told him, grabbing his arm. He seemed tired as I helped him up. He still had tears coming down his face.

The walk to his room was silent and gloomy. He was still crying when we got to his room. He lay on his bed in his tattered clothes. I was about to leave when he said'Stay' so I did. I sat in a chair next to his bed. I looked around the dark room and noticed a guitar laying peacefully in the corner.

"You play the guitar?" I said curious but mostly trying to keep with small talk.                                                "It's yours. I noticed that your other one was a bit old so I got this one for you." He said. I looked at it and went and picked it up.

"That's so sweet Jude so I'll sing you a song." I sat back in the chair and tuned the guitar a bit then got used to it.

"You're really going to sing?." He asked me. I smiled and nodded my head. He looked like a tired, cute little kid. Once the guitar was tuned enough I began to play and sing safe and sound by Taylor Swift.

I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window darling
Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,

You and I'll be safe and sound...

By the time I was done singing Jude had fell asleep with tears staining his cheeks. He looked adorable, I smiled and put the guitar in the chair. I was about to leave when I heard Jude.
"Stay please" He said for the second time tonight. I thought he had fallen asleep. I turned back around to see him half-asleep. Not saying anything, I went and got under the covers on the other side of his bed. I fell asleep in the dark, quiet room of Jude's.
