"Ugh, Kise-kun why do you have to be so annoying?" I asked with irritation as I converse with none other than Ryouta Kise in the phone.

"Mari-cchi! I'm so excited to visit you at your new school! Just tell me where is your school so I can give you a hi!" Kise's high pitched voice annoys the heck out of me. I'm pretty sure he's wailing and flailing right now.

"You'll know, after we'll meet each other in the court. Did I tell you that I'm the team's manager? But for now, just don't start to bother me where in this world is my school, because it's surprise, alright? Now shoo, shoo, because I need to get ready for school."

I quickly hang-up my cellphone and put it on the table, expecting a respond by Kise like: "Uwaah! Mari-cchi is so mean that she didn't even let me say a goodbye!"

"Coach says that there's a test for the freshmen who wants to join in the basketball club. What kind of test will it be? And oh, it's on the rooftop. It gives me a weird feeling." I said to myself while tying my hair into its usual ponytail.

I hummed in satisfaction as I see my reflection in the mirror. Again, I suddenly thought that is it my looks that make Kuroko broke up with me?

"Bad Mari! Bad! Why are you still thinking of that?" I scolded myself, hands gritting the counter. I shake my hand, forgetting that today is Monday, and there's this morning assembly thing that I should really be early.

I shrugged in my reflection and grab my bag, going to Seirin.

"Captain! Hyuga-senpai!" I waved cheerfully at our eyeglasses captain as I run towards him. He also smile a little and raised his hand for a sheepish wave when I stop beside him.

"Miu-san, is there anything you like?"

I shake my head then grin. "No, nothing's wrong. But I'm curious about the application form thing today. What's the coach gonna do?"

Hyuga-senpai sighed while crossing his arms. "To be honest, I don't know. The coach got a lot of mystery on her. Anyways, she's trying to test the freshmen."

"Ah."

As I was about to speak more, a loud booming voice coming from the rooftop startled the heck out of me and both Hyuga-senpai and I turn to Kagami, who is standing on the fence.

"Class 1-B, number 5, Kagami Taiga. I will defeat the Generation of Miracles and become the the best player in Japan!"

Everyone including us widen our eyes at Kagami's unexpected surprise. I finally close my mouth, which is stupidly hanging when I listen to him, then smile a little bit.

So..this is the test, huh?

Anyway, his attitude resembles like of Aomine-kun's. I can't wait to watch Kagami-kun to grow stronger and to face Aomine-kun.

I also wanted to defeat them using my own ways. So I'm working hard to be Seirin's manager.

"What? Is she doing that again this year?" I heard Hyuga-senpai so I turn to look at him.

"Hmm? What do you mean?"

Before Hyuga-senpai can answer my question, we watch as other freshmen started to announce their goals, but much to my shock, my subconscious is searching for Kuroko.

"Doing this really helped us focus last year." Hyuga-senpai suddenly said. "This could be a good tradition."

I raised my eyebrows, tilting to one side as I look at Hyuga-senpai's determined face. I giggled, finally understanding what do he meant by that.
