*Ashley's POV*

I got off the phone to Adrianna and turned to Kai. He probably couldn't hear me, but if he could I wanted to reassure him.

"They're coming." I said to him. His eyelids were half shut and his nose was covered in blood.

It was happening again.

"No... Stay awake... It'll be better for you..." I stammered. "Please, Kai. Just stay awake."

Carefully, I sat down next to him, and he slumped down, passing out with his head resting on my shoulder. How the fuck could Morgan do this?

Kai's body was heavy, and I struggled to stay sitting with all his weight on me. Harsh silence filled the alley and bounced off the walls.

I started to hum 'Kissing in Cars' by Pierce the Veil, knowing that was one of Kai's favourite songs.

The sound of an engine rang throughout the alley, and my heart leapt. A apple-red car pulled around the corner, and stopped right in front of us.

Adrianna and Felix leapt out. "Holy shit..." Adrianna gasped when she saw Kai.

"Clear the backseat, Adrianna." Felix instructed. She nodded and leaned into the car.

Felix walked over and held up Kai's body so that I could move. I stood up slowly and helped to support Kai. "You okay?" Felix muttered to me.

I nodded, but I wasn't so sure.

Felix scooped Kai up and took him to the car. Adrianna was in the front seat and I helped get Kai in the back and sat with him.

Once Felix was in the driver's seat he started the engine. "Where are we going?" I asked.

"The hospital." Adrianna told me. "But he's probably fine."

Kai's head was on my lap, and I looked down at him. A drop of water landed on his cheek and I realised I was crying.

"Hey. No tears." Felix said soothingly.

I couldn't help it. Tears flowed like a rain shower and I sighed. Back when I wasn't dating Morgan, I never ever used to cry.

Back then I was happy.

The sight of Kai passed out was a bit disturbing. Usually, if someone was asleep they'd move a little, or have heavy breathing.

Kai was completely still and I could hardly hear his breathing. I cradled his head and wiped my tears off his face.

His eyelashes were really long, and his face was flawless. I traced his cheekbone with my finger.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered, knowing that this was partly my fault. "Please just hang in there..."

"How is he?" Felix asked.

"Out cold." I admitted sadly.

"I should text Sierra. She deserves to know." Adrianna reminded herself.

"Good idea, bab." Felix nodded.

"Bab?" I questioned.

"Its a nickname." Adrianna giggled.

I smiled and looked down at Kai. Gently, I moved his hair out of his face. I Iicked my finger and tried to rub some of the blood off of his T-shirt.

It was a Sleeping With Sirens T-shirt, and it was probably special to him so I tried really hard to clean it.

Most of the blood came out, and I sighed. My boyfriend did this to him. That means that its my fault too.

Oh, Kai. He'll hate me now.
