Twenty Five.

"He'll be absolutely fine. Must have been a pretty nasty fight." The doctor smiled.

Kai sat there rubbing his head.

I sighed with relief and Adrianna held my hand. "You kids need to stop play fighting. It never ends well." The doctor tutted.

"Well. What can I say?" Felix shrugged, giving me a dirty look.

"That's all. Good afternoon." The doctor dismissed us and we thanked him.

"I can't believe you made me lie." Felix said as we walked out of the hospital. "Don't you want Morgan to be caught? I know he's your boyfriend but he did something awful. Why don't you care?"

"It was kinda harsh... Especially on Kai..." Adrianna admitted.

If only they knew.

"I'm sorry. I just want to protect who I love, and I love Morgan." I lied.

I glanced at Kai and watched his face fall. Maybe he wanted me to stick up for him?

I'm being such a bitch about this, but if we ratted out Morgan he'd hurt me so badly. I felt so bad about what happened to Kai though.

"Kai... I'm sorry." I bit my lip.

"Its not your fault..." Kai reassured me, but I could see the sadness in his eyes.

"And I'm sorry for being a bitch guys." I turned to Felix and Adrianna.

"I would have done the same if Felix beat someone up." Adrianna said gently and Felix smiled at me.

"At least he's okay." Felix looked at me soothingly.

I looked at Kai and he stared at the ground. I'd really upset him.

Felix drove us to the end of my road and we waved as we watched the car disappear. "See you later, Ash." Kai sighed.

"Wait! I mean... Come round my house. I'm really sorry." I felt like crying.

"Why are you sorry?" Kai frowned.

"Its all my fault." I pulled him for a tight hug, and he accepted. He stroked my hair.

"You know that isn't true. Its my fault. People beat me up because I'm different. I should just change." Kai put his chin on my head.

"Your perfect! Don't ever change yourself for anyone!" I gasped.

"You have. Explain the dresses, the pink and the lip gloss. You changed for Morgan." He made a good point.

"Yeah... But... You don't understand." I pulled away from the hug.

"Then help me to." Kai took my hand and we started walking up the road. "Does he hit you? Please tell me the truth."

I looked into his bright green eyes and sighed. Should I tell him? Then I would be safe...

But... Morgan would get put in jail... And he'd go crazy... He might even kill me. Or even my family.

"No." I said softly. "He doesn't."
