I usually don't do this but I cannot afford for this fic to be interpreted wrong or for my readers to be confused.

This one has my heart.

The text in normal font is flashback, the text in italics is the present.

The timeline of normal text is linear, as in 1 happens then 2 then 3...

The timeline of the italics is in reverse as 3 happens then 2, then 1...

Each segment is marked with a bold letter..

Please tell me you understand...

Anyway here we go....

Also yes I am cross posting... this is a collection...

The first thing in his mind when Abir wakes up is a prayer, please. (Wasn't that messed up)

Please what? Please make sure this day goes well, please stop mom from doing anything, (why did he have to be so scared of his own mom?) please make kunal be cordial (he's never really asked god much for nanko, cause he would do it all... now he was asking him to just make nanko talk to him) please keep mishti happy (wasn't that his job) please keep baba safe (funny, wasn't that his job too) please don't let anything trouble my family (that too was supposed to his job) he didn't know which one of these he was asking for.

But he was asking. So he repeated it.

One simple word.

Please.

Please please Please...

PLEASE

He had screamed himself hoarse both in mind and body.

Please don't do this.

Please don't let this happen.

How could you do this to me...

Don't you dare... Don't you bloody dare...

You're supposed to be my partner...

You're supposed to protect...

What did I ever do to deserve this...

Why?

Abir had been dangerously silent to the point that he was scaring naanu (that poor man, how much more was he supposed to see.) He hadn't moved at all, lips pressed tightly shut, a hand nearly attached to the pristine glass doors, saying nothing, doing nothing... just standing there, looking and looking...

Please

Just

Please...

The first one Abir walks up to (thankfully) is his Naanu. He was wary, (and didn't that just break his heart) because of what had happened, what was happening and what was going to happen. (God if only he could ease worries of the man who had been his parent more than the ones who gave birth to him were.)
