"Alfie, Zoe, we want to ask you something." Dad piped up. Mum and the twins were discharged this morning so Zoe was still here and Alfie had come especially to meet the new additions.
"You guys know already that we aren't religious or anything but we still want the kids to be christened so we wanted to ask you if you would both be godparents to Emilia, Eduardo, Ellis and Elliot?" Mum smiled. I started smiling too but who wouldn't if their parents had just asked Zalfie to be their godparents. Alfie and Zoe looked at each other and grinned.
"Of course!" They both smiled.
"Great!" Dad cheered.
So Alfie and Zoe are going to be my godparents. Everyone knows how close our two families are but most people don't understand how much they mean to my family. Alfie is like an uncle to Emilia and I, he is so funny and he's really sweet towards everyone he meets. A few people think that he is quite cocky but honestly he isn't, he's great. Zoe is amazing too, she has always been willing to look after Emilia and I and her and dad are constantly joking together, it's so funny when they are both around, it's just a constant joke and comedy show. I wouldn't have it any other way!
