Prompt: Part 2 of Hayden and Camren, Camila comes home and they're all happy.

“Mommy, I don’t want to go to the zoo.” Hayden grumbled as she crossed her arms over her chest and huffed, glaring out the car window as she watched the scenery fly by. “I want to go home and watch movies or something.”

“I think maybe getting out of the house for a little bit will be a good thing, for both of us.” Lauren replied as she glanced in the rear view mirror, smiling lightly at the sight of the scowl on her daughter’s face as she chuckled. “It’ll be fun.”

“It’s only fun when mama’s there to make animal noises and tap on the glass.” Hayden grumbled as she sighed heavily, leaning her head against the cool glass of the window. “I miss mama, I can’t wait to see her tomorrow.”

“She can’t wait to see you either, sweetheart. But for now, how about some mommy and Hayden time. I can’t promise to make monkey noises as good as your mama, but I’m pretty darn good at making the tiger sounds.” Lauren smirked.

“Yeah.” Hayden agreed as a slow grin spread across her face before she giggled in remembrance to the time Lauren and Camila had stood in front of the tiger exhibit having a ‘roaring’ war for over ten minutes. “You are better than mama.”

“Remind me to tell her you said that.” Lauren winked as she pulled into the zoo, finding a parking spot and unbuckling as she heard Hayden throw the door open in excitement. “What happened to wanting to go home and be bored?”

“I changed my mind, is that a crime?” Hayden demanded as she perked an eyebrow, Lauren snorting as she slammed the door shut and offered her hand to the five-year-old. “Let’s go have fun!”

Lauren allowed the child to drag her to the entrance where she paid and Hayden squealed before tugging her into the park and darting for the penguins. The older brunette laughed softly to herself as she was jerked from exhibit to exhibit as the child gushed over each animal and playfully tapped at the glass much like Camila did.

“You ready to go see the monkeys, my little monkey?” Lauren asked as she offered her hand to Hayden, the little girl peeling herself away from the glass housing the polar bears as she nodded and accepted the limb. “So, what are we doing for dinner tonight?”

“Pizza!” Hayden exclaimed, skipping happily.

Lauren barked out a laugh of amusement and rolled her eyes before smiling as she noticed the monkey exhibit a few feet away, “You are so much like your mama sometimes that it actually scares me a little bit.”

“You think I’m like mama? Everybody says I’m like you, sassy and beautiful.” Hayden smirked, puffing her chest out in pride at the idea of people thinking she was like both her mothers. “I like being like mama, she’s super funny.”

“I’m glad somebody finds her humorous because I sure don’t, the two of you together equals trouble.” Lauren grumbled as Hayden smiled brightly and released her hand, making her way over to the glass and mashing her face against it.

Suddenly, the imitation of a monkey sounded from behind the child and she froze slightly and slowly turned around, her face splitting into a large beam as she caught sight of Camila standing a few feet away with her arms crossed over her chest and a triumphant smirk on her face as she raised one of her arms to wave.

“Mama!” Hayden exclaimed as she closed the distance between herself and her mother, throwing herself into Camila’s embrace and allowing the brunette to spin her around and press kisses to her face. “I missed you!”

“I missed you too, sweetie.” Camila whispered as she held Hayden a little tighter. “I am never leaving for that long again.”

“Good.” Hayden whispered.

Lauren smiled at the sight of her wife and made her way over, leaning forward to press a kiss to the lips she had been missing for the last week and a half. The older brunette drew away from the lip lock and dragged her nose against Camila’s, a loving expression gracing her features as she breathed out happily.

"I missed you, baby." Lauren muttered as she allowed her eyes to dance over the younger woman's form, her tongue poking out to moisten her lips as she thought about all the things she was going to be doing to her wife later that night.

"I missed you too, Lolo." Camila grinned as she arched her head up once more allowing Lauren to press a hard kiss to her mouth, the woman drawing away from the kiss a second later with a twinkle to her eye.

"Gross." Hayden grumbled with a scrunched nose.

“So, I was thinking maybe we could head over to the tiger exhibit, I believe your mommy and I have a rematch set up.” Camila sighed, winking playfully at her wife who rolled her eyes. “What do you say, munchkin? You up for being a judge?”

“Uh-huh.” Hayden muttered as she buried her face in Camila’s neck, content on staying in her mother’s arms. “I really missed you, Mama.”

“I really missed you too, sweetie.” Camila whispered.
