Alexander POV
I got up to wake the girls up and when I went in there rooms it was empty. I looked all over the house and couldn't find them. I knew Shayla took them an ran I started to call the police when Shayla walked threw the front door. I grabbed her and pushed her against the wall hard.
"Where the fuck are my kids" I asked and she looked scared
"I took them to school please don't hit me" she said starting to cry
"Why would I hit you" I asked letting her go and she ran upstairs
It's been 2 hours and she still hasn't came out of the room. I was about to go up there but she came downstairs and went to the kitchen and started cooking. I went in the kitchen and she was seasoning the chicken.
"Look I'm sorry about grabbing you like that, it's just I am very protective of them." I said
"I understand" she said and continued cooking
"You know you said something that I haven't been able to get out my head" I said
"And that is" she asked
"You said don't hit me" I said and she just looked at me
"You made it seem lie somebody has hit you before" I said
"Just forget about it" she said
"Has someone been hitting you" I asked and she dropped the pan
"Why do you care" she asked and I didn't say anything and she just walked up stairs
Shayla POV
When I calmed down I went back downstairs to finish cooking. Then I went to go pick the girls up from school and drop them off at swimming lessons.
I waited till they got done and the girls kept showing me swimming tricks they learned. When they finished I took them home and Alexander was on his computer working.
The girls said hey to Alexander, then went upstairs to shower.
"Did you take your medicine" I asked him
"No" he said
"Why not" I asked him
"I forgot" he said not taking his eyes off his computer
"Your supposed to be elevating your leg" I said and picked his leg up and put it on pillows
"That feels so much better" he said
"Did you listen to anything your doctor said" I asked
"No why" he asked
"Wow" I said and went up stairs to help the girls get ready for dinner.
