Shayla POV
One week later
"Ashley I told you no" I said to her for the one hundredth time
"Please Shayla" she said
"I won't talk to him" I said
"I think you should" Chance said jumping into our conversation
"Can we have a little privacy please" she said to him
"So you want me to leave my house so you too can talk" he said and we nodded
"No" he said and sat down on the couch
"Chance I live here to" I said crossing my arms
"Fine" he said getting up and leaving
"Your brother just wants to talk to you" she said
"We have nothing to talk about, I made that clear to him" I said
"But shayla-" I cut her off
"I think you should leave" I said
"Fine" she said grabbing her stuff and leaving
After she left I grabbed my purse and went to the mall. I was looking at some new outfits for work when I heard crying. I followed the noise and there was a little boy sitting on the bench crying.
"What's wrong little man" I asked
"I can't find my dad" he said looking up at me and it was Ashley's son Tj,I recognized him from pictures she showed me.
"Well I'm Shayla a friend of your moms, I'll help you find your dad. Where did you last see him" I asked
"We were in a store with a lot of pictures of women in panties" he said and I was confused at first
"Victoria secret" I said and he nodded
"Ok" I said picking him up and walking to the store
When we got there Travis was talking to the police.
"Daddy" Tj yelled running to Travis
"Thank God your ok" Travis said picking up Tj hugging him
"How did you find your way back here" he asked him
"Miss Shayla" Tj said pointing to me
"Thank you Shayla, I was here shopping for stuff for Ashley because our anniversary is coming up and I guess I got side track and he wondered off " Travis said to me
"No problem" I said getting ready to leave
"Shayla I owe you one" he said
"Don't mention it" I said
"I still want to help you get your kids back" he said
"Why are you trying to help me" I asked
"Because we're family and that's what family do" he said
