The next class was potions with Snape.
"Today, we will be making elixir to induce euphoria. Any students unable to produce this potion will have a visit with me after class. Instructions are in your books on page 249. Begin."
A boy known as Neville looked quite nervous as he stood before his cauldron, not sure where to begin. Harry Potter and the Weasley boy started gathering their materials. Malfoy and I were partners too. I began chopping roots while Malfoy sprinkled various ingredients into the cauldron. Snape walked around the room critiquing the Gryffindors.
"That looks incredibly wrong Miss Granger." He said eyeing her cauldron.
"But... I haven't even started yet!" She cried.
"Exactly." He replied walking away. He soon arrived at our cauldron. "Very good, Miss Dragone and Mr. Malfoy." He says then walks away.
I smile and continue chopping. I look around the room, and saw that Ron and Harry's potion has just exploded. "Good going Ron, I knew we shouldn't have added that much." Harry groaned.
"Mate, you told me it was four frog legs."
They argued back and forth. Snape gave them detention but we earned top marks.
