{josh's pov}
it's raining in columbus.
it's raining, and i'm going to be late to church, and i have to drive carefully because of that recent accident.
Incoming call from: baby boy
"hey man, what's up?"
i could hear the voices of everyone at church in the background.
"where are you?" tyler responded. "you're going to be late."
i sighed. "i know, i know. just trying to be careful."
"yeah, i get it." tyler was silent for a moment. "joel mentioned that the girl's best friend might be there today."
what? the girl who was in the crash? that can't be right.
"hold up, didn't he say her friend was in a mental hospital or something?"
tyler was quiet for a minute. "yeah, but i think she's gonna come to the service, then go back or something...? i don't know. just hurry."
"yeah, yeah, baby boy." i grinned. "don't get worried."
"oh, whatever." tyler replied, trying to sound casual. deep down, though, we both knew he hated his friends and family driving in bad weather.
i pulled the phone away from my ear and was about to hang up when i heard tyler call my name.
"yeah?"
he hesitated.
"drive safe."
i smiled and hung up.

it's raining in columbus.
