This is a higher and better view of the village. That torch on the stone in the bottom is where the previous picture was taken. The current one if what I call the Leap of Faith since it is so far up. Oh, also, the mountain the Leap of Faith is on is a tree farm, aka "Up Top." Village-level, there is a regular farm in the mountain. The plots in the village are where houses will go.
The shore-lining forest is a path that leads from spawn to the village. The spawn should be for the most part safe for when I decide to turn mobs on, but for now that occurrence is few and far between.
