"Surprised you took a break from Jedi training." Jake's voice rang from the passengers seat. I giggled as Momma pursed her lips.
Momma, Jake, Seth, Nessie and I are all going to grandpa Charlie's house for a visit.
"If I don't take Elizabeth and Renesmee to my dad, he'll come to us. Twenty seven vampires, one human, not so great." Momma responded.
"I'm just glad to get away from all the reeking blood suckers." Jake muttered. Momma shot him a look.
"Sorry. I know they're the "good guys" but seriously, Dracula one and two are ... creepy!" Jake said easing the tension. The three of them laughed, while Nessie and I shared a look, then smiled giving in.
Momma soon pulled the car up at Grandpa Charlie's, I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt and ran out of the car, as Sue and him walk out of the house. Ness was slow, lagging behind me.
"There's my girl! Come here!" Grandpa shouted as I jumped into his arms. He caught me and spun me in the air, before settling me down. Nessie finally approached him and got the same treatment as me.
"Wow look at you! You've grown like a half foot. Seriously! Like six inches." Grandpa muttered, glancing between me and Ness. We just smiled as Sue tried to distract him.
"Alright come inside, lunch is on the table." She warmly grinned. Mostly looking at Nessie, since that was her son's imprint.
"We've got a tree to decorate, huh?" Grandpa asked as he began to guide us towards the front door.
"Actually I've got a few errands to run. I'll be back soon, okay?" Momma smiled at us, though I could sense something was off. She glanced at Seth and Jake before getting back in the car.

I walked alongside Grandpa as we entered his house. Like Sue had said, lunch was at the table. And so was Leah.
"Leah!" Nessie shouted as she ran to give her a big bear hug. "Hey kiddo.." She laughed, returning the hug. I smiled at her, she mirrored my gesture.

Sue had made Nessie and I some delicious turkey sandwiches with some apple juice. Or in Nessie's case, orange juice. Jake and Seth got a huge plate of food, like always.
It seemed like they were having an eating contest, because each time they were eating, which was pretty fast in my opinion, they kept glancing towards each other's plate. It was honestly pretty hilarious. I even choked on my apple juice at one point.
After we ate, we started decorating the tree. Me and Nessie covered the bottom of the tree to the highest we could reach.

As I walked up the wooden stairs, fascination overcame me as I examined the halls of my mother's old home. I've never been here before and everything seemed so interesting.
I walked around the second floor of the old ivory house. I took a sniff of the air, and caught a scent unfamiliar to Grandpa and Sue. I followed the scent to a bedroom.
This scent smelt delicious, almost enchanting. I turned the doorknob slowly. Hearing a low creak as I do so. Once I fully open the door, I step inside. The enchanting smell covering my body. I looked around and saw a simple bedroom.
Momma's bedroom.
I walked around the room glancing at everything and anything. I stopped when I saw a picture of Aunt Alice and ... Momma? Human, healthy Momma. Not like the dying Momma I saw after she gave birth to us.
I smiled as I stared at her. She looked happy. And beautiful.
Taking a quick glance around the room, I slip the picture into my pocket. I'm not sure if this is considered 'stealing' since it's not in our home, or not mine, but I'm still taking it.
I walk towards the mirror next to the bed. I examined myself. I grew more in the past week. Not surprising to me anymore. But still pretty amazing at how fast I'm growing. And how much money Aunt Alice spends on our clothes. It's a shame, I really like the clothes she gets us, but we always end up donating them sooner or later, mostly because we outgrow them.
"Elizabeth?" I was so deep in my thoughts, I didn't even realize Jake had walked into the room. He was actually in the doorway, watching me.
"Yes?" I asked. He walked in the room and looked around. "Wow... haven't been in here for a while..." He muttered.
I forget that Jake and Momma were friends before I was born. Scratch that, best friends. I wish I knew more about Momma's past.
"Elizabeth! Jake! Hurry we are going to put the star on the tree!" I heard Nessie yell from downstairs.

"Poppa!" Nessie squealed as she ran to go hug him. Momma placed her hand on my back as we walked to the living room in the main house where everyone was. I looked at her and gave her a smile, as she returned one. Though, I could tell there was something wrong.
I ran up to Poppa and leaped into his strong arms. He caught me with ease.
"Did you have a good time?" He asked in his velvety voice.
I smiled huge and nodded. He kissed my cheek, then set me down as he went to greet Momma.
I sat next to Eleazar, Nessie sat across from me next to Grandpa Carlisle.
"Hello, Elizabeth." He greeted. "Hello. Eleazar." I smiled. And we soon fell into conversation.

Momma and Poppa were watching from the doorway.

Jake and Seth were out, teaching the new kids in their pack about being a shapeshifter.

Tonight, things were peaceful for once.

A sweet, blissful night.
